I am still booked in to another T in August but I seem to be stuck in the "you started this you should finish this, T" mindset. There are things specifically about him, his physical appearance being so much like my brothers that I can't see how talking with another T would help.

I have lots of photos of R- I find them comforting.

There is no should per se I just don't want you to accidentally get into trouble. Every email you send could be used against you.

With my suggestion what i meant was with the emails and messages you have already written reply back to them yourself as he would have replied.

Maybe if you think of it differently like when you're at primary school, you have to move on to the secondary (high) school. You can't stay at the first place anymore because you've out grown it.

August is actually a bit away. would you consider online if someone could see you sooner?

Despite not wanting to go to the gym I did and feel a smidge better. Day 8.

I'm going to email back and cancel the upcoming session with the new T- I booked yesterday which would have been after my normal session with R. I need to see R if I actually want to repair this rupture.

Did anyone else not get a wink of sleep last night? I just could not get comfortable. I was hot despite cranking the air up and one of those heavy box fans blowing right at me. We barely get a spring anymore-it goes from too cold to too hot. We may get lucky and get some nice weather days, but not many.

I was looking at my job stats last night and counting everything up. Since I started my job search the end of April I applied to 69 families on care.com. Out of those 69 families I got 23 responses to my initial message. Out of those 23, 6 were scams and those accounts were removed, 10 didn’t make it past one or 2 messages back and forth because of different needs or budgets or what have you. Out of the remaining 7, 4 of those made it to a phone call phase but not beyond and the other 3 led to the in person interview phase. The in person interviews amounted to 1 lady never getting back and just closing out her job, 1 said they hired someone who lives right around the block from them, and the other- I never even got to the actual interview because she had her baby early and pulled her job.

I feel so defeated but nobody can say I didn’t try. And I’m still trying because of how unhappy I am with the people that did choose me.

That sucks for sure.

It could be helpful to see the other T to talk about the rupture though.

I don’t know. I thought writing it out would make me feel better but seeing the numbers made me feel worse.

Jersey—I have heard that a good rule of thumb is that if you get 10% responses to job applications, you’re doing good.

So you’re above par is how I see it. Just keep swinging for the fences and do whatever you can to improve your credentials.

To me it shows commitment, dedication and how much of a hard worker you are.

The current job you have now could be used as a stepping stone. There's nothing to stop you from moving on when you're ready.

Thank you for posting LT. It's just the timing- other T doesn't have anything available until thusday 2pm. I normally see R at 10.30am on thursday and if I ask for an earlier session he often has something on a tuesday or a wenesday. I originally was planning on not showing up but that doesn't solve anything. I've lost count of the number of ruptures we've had. No reason why we can't patch things up too this time.

Thank you. I’m hoping there’s a baby boom or something soon.

I updated all my stuff. I have record of my flu and Tdap vaccines (which are important shots to the families with babies too young to get the TDAP), I just updated my CPR/First Aid Certs last month at Red Cross, I made sure all my past families are okay to give a reference if people call and I have a printed copy of my background check to show my criminal clearances. Also a printed copy of my driving record from the DMV (it’s crystal clear. No tickets) Anyone who interviews me gets copies of all these in a nice little folder for them to keep (or destroy) if they decide not to hire.

Thanks. I managed to get some quick dry shorts. Since the pool I’ll be in only has a water level that barely comes up to my calf..I just wear the quick dry shorts with a sleeveless shirt. Seems to work just fine.

Oh my goodness I am so grateful--we only had six patients so my attending sent me home early. I'm especially glad since it feels like i'm getting a cold, and also since it's nice outside.

Glad you've been given sometime off.

P.s I would be disappointed with frenemy winning the award too and didn't think it was petty.

Thanks, Lemon

Now I just have to make sure I don't waste the rest of the day... which I already sort of did by playing video games for an hour. Nap, then time outside!

I just noticed ATAT went from regular to super moderator. What color is super duper moderator?

Spent a good chunk of the day today with my son, took him grocery shopping, he showed me a bunch of his pictures from his trip, he saw some incredible things. Castles in Heidelberg, cathedrals in Metz, France and other areas I forgot the names of. He tried all sorts of foods he's never eaten before like escargot and foie gras and things. (He's braver than me!) Now I need to spend some time on homework. H is on a job up north so I have the house to myself while I record my video reading one of my poems.

Isn’t there a color that has no name because it’s on the spectrum but not visible to the human eye?

Phew, home now, making peace with new cat, who is outraged by her temporary abandonment.

Kind of wish there was something like a dedicated gf sandwich/pizza/fast food place that delivered.

So the average score for our third economics exam is an F (55%). Yikes. First two exams were 69 and 70 for average scores, which the professor said was typical.

If I saw that 55% average as a professor, I’d really want to look at why.

I'm going to assume she grades on a curve then? It makes me think of some friends in college who were in the sciences (I think chemical engineering for one and biology for the other), and they would say that the average score on a test was like 40%, but then they'd curve it, so that would be a B. It also made me wonder--it suggests either the professor isn't doing a good job explaining the material, the test isn't a good assessment of the material, or the test is just way too hard (I think of an art history exam where it had things like, "what year was Painting X painted in?" And the options were like 1851, 1852, 1854, 1855. Which...doesn't seem like the most important thing to be learning about art. Maybe to know what school of art it was in, general time period, etc.?)
