Morning couchies. I'm working a half day today, a little over an hour done. Finally got to sleep last night by talking to L in my head... haven't seen my son yet this morning I hope he was able to sleep. He had a rough day/evening yesterday.

Anybody else like old cat stevens stuff? I've had the song "land of free love and goodbye" stuck in my head on repeat for 3 days now.

"Oh the trees grow higher than the mountain/in the land of free live and goodbye/the rivers ever flowing/fishes growing/and the god I love loves me."

I found GOT and Dark disappointing but I really liked the OA .

I'm currently watching Peep show It's old like 2003 but stupidly funny if you like british comedy. I met the main guy who was in it when he came to our pharmacy.

Yay!

I apologize to everyone but sometimes I also miss out words, and misspell a lot too when I'm not trying to do it on purpose..

I love Peep Show. And I'm only on episode 4 of "Dark," so I'll avoid the triggered material for now.

So you know how I had a flat tire the other day? Well. When we got home from lunch son said mom look at your tire Holy ****. It literally has a hole in it and I did not notice it. I'm surprised it didn't shred while we were just out!!! This is one of the other tires. I am going to have AAA tow it to the tire place we use on Monday and hopefully can get off work early to do so. Or split my shift or something. Now I get to buy 2 new tires instead of 1. Holy smokes. Glad I did 4 hours OT today.
I wonder if AAA has tires too might have to look into that.

Jane, it happens all the time. If your GP referred you to a specialist because she didn't know enough to treat you, would your feelings be hurt? If that specialist then wanted to refer you to a different specialist of the same type who had more years of experience or greater exposure to your specific issue, would you take that personally? For me, I would probably feel a bit scared or apprehensive that my condition required that level of expertise, but I wouldn't see it as a massive rejection of me.

I was always told replace all four tires at once so they wear evenly and are the same size and you avoid any problems to the other tires or your car that the unevenness might cause. When I blew a tire on the freeway in March I replaced all four (actually had already had an appointment scheduled for the next day). It was about $500 for all four and I did it at Discount Tire. Maybe there are July 4 sales at local tire places?
Thanks for this!

Hmm. That does make sense. Yet it also sounds like a great way to sell a lot more tires - if you have to replace all 4 every time one goes out. I wonder if that actually represents a cost savings in the end.

@ArtieSwimsOn - Thank you! I consider myself a Cat Stevens fan, and yet I've never heard this song.

Artie, maybe you need 4 tires. i wonder if this heat (ie climate change) isnt wearing them out faster than usual. Even if youre not commuting as much.

My cousin wrote me back a nice note! Honestly, on my tv he looked soooo beautiful i almost didnt think it was really him, but on my little phone screen looking at the clip, i was like, eh! They must have these HD screens set on automatic eye-bag erase.

It’s going to depend on wear and age I assume. I had one tire go flat (on my wedding day to 2ex, good sign there ) but as it was still under warranty and a little over a year old I only replaced that one. They shaved the tread a bit to make it even with the other tires.

In March I was already going to replace all four, the blown one just accelerated the timeline by 24 hours.

That used to be true if you had "radial" type tires, which could only be rotated front to back, not side to side.

I am more concerned that she is not taking her car to Lube Bros every 3 months or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first, and getting all her fluids topped off and her filters changed and her joints lubricated and her windshild wipers replaced and golly no wonder im bored!
Thanks for this!

Of course it doesn't. But it's still good to remind yourself of logic when emotions are causing you to not be able to stop crying, yes? Sometimes it eventually sticks. It's up to you whether you will repeat to yourself that you are too broken inside or if you will try to drown that out with some other narrative.

Thanks. I really want to replace all 4 anyway - I hate the tires that are on the car now. They're these stupid-fancy things and very thin, I just hate them. But they came on the car when I bought it (old used car I paid $1700 for) so I just kept them as is. I was telling the AAA guy who came out to change the tire that very thing and he sort of agreed with me it seemed like, since it was such a pain in the butt to change the one what with having to go through his toolbox looking for the right allen wrench and the right weird-sized thingy to get the lug nuts off with. H is out of town so I could easily just make the decision and do it. I already looked on our tire places website and yes they do have some specials now. I think I just made up my mind I'm getting 4 new tires and not the stupid fancy ones I have now. Beside, I might even be able to sell these rims to pay for the new ones I'd have to also buy.

Anybody can change their own filters and windshield wipers. A 10 year old could do it.

Ive done it and ended up with streaky windshields cuz they didnt lie flat. My cousin who owns the gas station did it and it was like a new car. This is like therapy, imo - it LOOKS easy, but its easy to mess it up, and experience makes a difference. Look how many people get totally mad at us (royal we) when we try to play shrink with them here. : pokeme:

How did I not see this it's the front driver's side for heaven's sake!! How embarrassing. But to be fair I do work at home and drive pretty much only once a week to L's. No way in heck I'm driving it now even as far as the tire place.
