My dream last night, I just remembered, just got a brief glimpse, something about a lion. I think it was a female lion as I don't recall it having a mane. Not gonna try to remember as L always says maybe it's not 'ready' yet...

For couch dog owners - another pc user and i have been brainstorming how to deal with upcoming fireworks and maybe even thunderstorms frightening our furry friends.

She said they put cotton balls in horses' ears to muffle sounds, so she is going to try that with her pups. She is looking forward to upcoming thunder-dunders in her locale.

I had suggested fuzzy earmuffs or cute velvet turbans, but she nixed those suggestions! Thundershirts and drugs have also been suggested.

Let me know if you try / have tried the cotton balls idea. I also suggested building a doggie safe room.

I would not insert anything into a dog's ears. That seems unwise.

Speaking of dogs, I am so upset! I was expecting a few items for mine to be delivered today with much anticipation. Either USPS delivered to the wrong apartment or somebody stole my package! Feeling really sorry for myself. My dogs need the items, so I will have to reorder, but I don't have lots of money and $60 is a lot for me. So unhappy about this.

Susannah, thanks for your input re dogs ears. I was wondering about that. Maybe yarn to make the cotton retrievable? Altho that would itch. See, my velvet turban is sounding better...

Re usps - their sunday delivery notification often REALLY delivers the package on monday here in michigan, so you may want to wait a day.

I called T and left him a message to call me back sometime today if he can. I think he is probably flying because his phone went straight to voicemail. I hate bothering him on the weekend.

It says it was left near the front door or porch. Would it specify if it hadn't been delivered? Usually stuff gets delivered to the management office, but they are closed on Sundays... I want to believe that it will be ok...

I’ve been working on this afghan for my son for about half a year now (in spits and spurts). I finally finished the beast. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out. (He wanted Hufflepuff-inspired colors. LOL!)

One time they even left a picture, and i could tell it wasnt my door (even tho all the apartment doors are identical, my door is dirty in a different way im on a high floor, but i the door has flood marks!) - i texted with the customer service bot and it said to wait until tomorrow. I checked all possible places here too, but it just showed up the next morning, pleased as Punch!

Sorry i didnt answer sooner, i was looking at blue jeans.

I wonder if T would freak out if I just curled up in the corner and asked him to hold my hand while I cry and totally loose my S*?

Was it Amazon? Give it a day. Sometimes carriers list things as delivered before they are. If nothing tomorrow, maybe contact place you ordered from

Unaluna -- I second not putting anything in dog's ears. You could try those thunder shirts. I tried that for one of my dogs who has nightmares. It helped a little. You can also give them half a kid's dose of dramamine to keep them a little sedated. Though some vets will say don't give dogs any human medicine. I also hear that CBD oil helps.

Dramamine is safe for dogs. You can google for the proper dosage based on weight. A dog I sit every week gets carsick and since I have to pick up and drop off, I asked his owner if we could do dramamine so he wouldn't keep puking in my car. We don't even do the full dose - based on his weight, he could take 2 pills, but we just give him one and he's fine. But I guess if drowsiness is the aim, you wouldn't want to reduce. Benadryl is also ok for dogs (just the regular kind - NOT benadryl-D).

If it's really bad, a vet might be open to prescribing something for the anxiety.

He is so sweet except when I can't work out what he wants.

Today I hope to start painting The Black Stallion with help from a yt vid it was mt favourite series of books when I was young and the Famous Five. My brother used to tease me about the Famous Five tv series but it was the place I could escape to.

My T finally was able to call me back about 5 hours after I called. I feel bad and don't really feel like it helped much. Between my kids bothering me and his background noise, it was hard for me to talk or hear what he was saying.

I would not stuff things into my dogs' ears. I have one who is petrified of fireworks - I give him a lot of benadryl (with the vet's blessing) -I turn on the tv, some music, the dishwasher and the washing machine and we go into the downstairs bedroom which is the quietest room in the house and turn on another tv. It is horrible for me (the noise noise noise) -but it is how we get through it. Some people have had good luck with cbd for dogs - but benadryl is the best thing I have found for my dog.
