The drumming circle was lovely and so relaxing. I hung around after chatting with the gal who runs them cuz I hadn't seen her in so long. Now I'm visiting with a friend who's in the hospital. Getting hungry so I'll probably stop and get some lunch before I go home.

Clay Aiken was a runner-up on American Idol.

As for my grandparents, I love them dearly, but this grandfather (the only one of my grandparents who has so far died) could be a bit embarrassing. He insisted on dancing anytime there was music, even if it was in a restaurant without a dancefloor. One time our family was on vacation in Las Vegas, and he coerced all the kids into marching in a parade through some mall. The "parade" was made up only by the kids in my family and was led by my Gramps on his segway. It was a public nuisance. He just liked making a spectacle of himself (and us) and was definitely an exhibitionist.

In Australia we have a honeycomb bar called Violet Crumble which Billy Connolly renamed Violent Crumble because when you bite into it it comes off in sharp shards which can cut your mouth. It's my favourite chocolate bar.
Do you have it in NZ too ce?

He has Parkinson and foes look very well. I met him once in Sydney he bought me a coffee for showing him the way to the Museum of Modrrn Art. He is quite earnest and attentive in real life. I met someone whose husband was stuck in nz at the airport while she was in labour and Billy bought the husbands drinks.

I dont know why the reincarnationists call them "past lives". Obviously some of us are living concurrent lives. "Susannah, i am your grampa."

I'm feeling a lot better today. I slept so much yesterday but made myself wake up at 7 pm when H went out to drive. Then stayed up until 2:30am. Been cleaning and rearranging my kids' room most of today. Trying to keep myself busy and occupied to get through the weekend.

Ugh, went swimming, headed for the showers only to find
Possible trigger:
on the floor of my usual shower. I’m guessing one of the kids from the swim lessons earlier today lost control (five feet from the toilets yet) and either didn’t tell their mother or the mother just left it there.

If only ex-hankster had been there to offer a Freudian analysis.

I really hope it was a case of the kid not telling their parent.

The date last night was really intense. I asked to skip the baseball game because I was exhausted (stayed up most of the night on the night shift and then couldn't really sleep during the day--4h of sleep in a 24h period kind of thing). So we went out for drinks and then back to my place.

TW for is for potential TMI regarding intimacy
Possible trigger:

He kept telling me how attractive he thinks I am. That made me think that he's a liar. I'm just not attractive, and if he is saying that he must want something from me. I actually asked him what he wanted from me. I can't remember what he said in reply--I think it was some kind of non-answer.

T is starting to freak out because I flushed my bipolar meds a couple of weeks ago. Since then:

1. I have lost 13 pounds
2. I started new job which I LOVE
3. I"m not willing to restart meds

She basically said via email that she could fill my spot. I'm going to tell her to go ahead on Tuesday. Honestly, I've worked through most everything I need to work through already

I don't have bipolar disorder so I don't know what it feels like--is there any chance that all of this good feeling is the beginning of a period of mania? If so, does that bother you?

It's your choice on meds, Polibeth, but if you ever have to do something like that again, maybe don't flush them. Not good for the water supply.

I have been plowing through a stack of silly mystery novels and I am always struck by the zeal with which the amateur detective goes after someone who committed a murder even where no one else really cares. I wouldn't. I mean, if they grabbed an innocent person, then sure - no one wants an innocent person in prison let alone hanged. But the ones where the police cannot find anyone to arrest until the amateur comes in and ferrets it out and then goes to great lengths to make sure they don't escape.

Chihirochild, do you think he was too drunk to get it up? I don't understand why a guy would get naked then not do the deed unless he was physically unable. Unless he's trying desperately to be straight but isn't. In which case maybe he's hoping you'll be his beard.
