I see Treble Clef (my t) in a few hours. I have something I want to tell him but I'm scared of being so honest. Pocket riders please?

I received an unexpected upgrade to my parking permit status from the park and ride to a zone 2 on campus permit. I was really happy at first, but now I'm not so sure I'm any better off for spending an extra $90. In fact, this might be worse. The zone 2 lots couldn't be any farther away from my classes and still be on campus. I will need to walk 0.9 miles to get to the buildings my classes are in. That's not really a great deal for $390/semester. I'm trying to look at the bright side, that at least I won't be able to be such a lumpkin, but I'm not looking forward to making the trek when it rains. I'm also unhappy because the walk limits my footwear options if I don't want to develop blisters and also wear down my nicer shoes at a fast rate. Limiting my footwear options also limits my wardrobe options. And by limited footwear options, I mean that the only suitable shoes I own for sustained walking in comfort are sneakers and athletic type shoes.

Healed, your therapist seemed kind of crap to me. Maybe you could look for a different one if you still want therapy.

I'm hungry and I wanted a bagel at the coffee place, but I got an apple instead.

Now I'm nice and grumpy for my session in an hour.

My A/C is fixed, hooray! Last time it broke I had to wait ten days to get someone out here. This time they were here within 24 hours. So relieved! With my asthma and allergies I really can't live with all the windows open.

Had a good session with T today.

You’d appreciate this, Una. I managed to end up discussing pooping with my T today. Mainly in the context of lack of privacy on vacation, but also that I sort of try to hide doing that from H. I feel I’ve now crossed one of the last topic boundaries left—clearly I’m comfortable with him. And he now knows the term “poop shame.”

I have a migraine. I'm trying to not take the medication because I think I'm getting rebound migraines but my head hurts. I turned the lights off in my office and took off my glasses and sort of massaged part of my head. I think I should have been more forceful with PDOC about not feeling well. I told him that I had been sort of depressed and suicidal, but I didn't really push it. So nothing changed. At the time I really didn't want my medication to change because I feel messed up as it is, and zombie-ish but now I think I should have been more forceful because nothing will change medication wise for 3 months unless I go to the hospital. I wish I hadn't let my feeling about feeling messed up get in the way of being straight up with PDOC.

Also, we were both wearing solid black shirts. Different bottoms though, so not total twins.

Yeah, there are water bottles in the fridge. I probably should go get one. The company buys them at Costco for us. Plus I have some ice tea which is good because of the caffeine.

Hope you feel better soon. Try holding cold water to to head—that can help too. Like hold bottle to head.

LOL. I lost mine on a long weekend AYH camping trip, when on the third day the camp leader handed out prunes to everybody, saying, "you know you need them!"

Ok, that’s funny! I felt vindicated in this one Gene Weingarten (Washington Post humor columnist) chat years ago where various women talked about waiting out others in a bathroom to poop. Like having silent standoffs until one gave up and left the bathroom. And it was like “I do that too!” So that chat addressed the phenomenon of female poop shame. And guys (including Gene) were mystified. Because they just go. I told T I felt awkward last night when we were out and I went to bathroom with D, where she announced she was pooping, then clapped for herself when she was done. T was like, “She’s great...”

The trick is to simultaneously poop and flush, then flush again. Its not the most ecological solution, but its the exception not the rule.

And this is why women take so long in the bathroom.

I’ve never felt this poop shame. Of course poop was always called “bowel movements” in our household growing up. Much classier.
Thanks for this!

My migraine is still bugging me. I took my glasses off and broke down and took some medicine. Coworkers are getting on my nerves though. One of my bosses said I could leave early but I hate missing out on pay. Maybe I will just leave an hour early.

I do not do that shameful deed except in the privacy of my own bathroom.

They were called BMs in my house, but I wanted to be like the cool kids and refer to everything using numbers. One time I just couldn't wait and had to go at my grandma's country club, where my cousins and I were swimming at the pool. My grandma was outside the stall and she was really confused about why it was taking so long and kept knocking on the door. I had told her I needed to go #1 when I meant #2. I felt like such a loser when I realized my error.

I also have issues with bathrooms. For instance, I refuse to go to the bathroom at T's or L's place. I imagine sitting on the same toilet as them and it just freaks me out. If they aren't even willing to touch my hand, why would I want my bare butt to touch where their bare butt has?
