It isn't the song that is the problem - it is the version and the boy band. The song is sung by a lot of irish folk singer types. My only explanation was that when I went to the link, I was expecting a different type group (old and grizzled) - I didn't even know they made irish boy bands. I should have closed it out immediately.

It seemed like my T was wiping away tears when I said something near the end of session today related to drinking. If it was just one eye, I'd think "ah just something in his eye" but was both. May have been nothing, I don't know. But he seemed affected by me a few times. And I also have noticed that he seems particularly fidgety when I talk about stuff with my D being on the spectrum. Playing with his hands. Like he's anxious maybe? But maybe it's just me being hypervigilant... I guess what counts is what I get out of session, and it was helpful.

Also he said, mostly in reference to something with ex-T that came up, how he tends to send out termination letters if a client leaves. Like, "If you email me now, I wouldn't respond in a clinical way." He said it isn't to say that he doesn't care. Because he still does. But that it's an awkward situation, if there's not really a therapeutic relationship, but someone is looking for guidance. I asked if, after I terminated, I sent him a positive update--would he reply? He said that he would. It's more complicated if it was an update that I wasn't doing well. Which makes sense.

And they do - incinerating and old demented people may not be a super great combo depending on what the result is that is actually being sought. Now that I know one exists, if I get placed in a home - I will know what gift to ask for. I know what result I want.

Why give up - there was playing back.

Well, the owner left and the controller left. They fly back to NY tomorrow. They had a meeting in another city this afternoon with some consultants we pay. So we won't see them again this trip. They both told me that I do a good job and to not let anyone tell me different and they thanked me for the work I do. That was sweet. I feel better now. I didn't really get a lot of time with either one but maybe they just figured I knew what I was doing and left me alone. So now it is back to work as normal, or whatever this is.

I got my flu shot today (required for work) from the pharmacy. Somehow when the pharmacist injected it he made my arm bleed a lot. There should have not been that amount of blood from a flu shot.
Him: I’m so sorry Mrs Jersey that almost never happens.
Me: Did you hit a vain? A nerve? What happened? You ruined my shirt (blood all over it)
Him: I think I may have hit something.
Me: So when you go to school to be a pharmacist some of your coursework includes learning how to give injections because the pharmacy offers them, correct?
Him: Yes.
Me: Okay well were you absent that day?
Him: I do apologize.

My whole arm hurts with pain radiating from my elbow up to my damn shoulder. Idiot.

I have always thought those shots were more dangerous than they were worth.

((Jersey)) Did he suggest anything for the pain?

I am just back from a lifelong learners’ course I gave on Alexander the Great. Some guy asked me if I ever taught the Byzantine Empire. I said it was too byzantine for me.

He found this hilarious for some reason.

Wow so sorry that happened @Jersey 4. I get flu shots every year and I have never had that happen. I did once have some idiot pharmacist put the flu shot under a healing wound (I had a mole removed from my upper arm and it had gone through stitches and everything) and the wound sort of swelled up after receiving the shot and it hurt ridiculously much. But I have never had one bleed. I don't even usually get a band-aid. I hope your arm feels better soon. Maybe a bit of advil might help? Or a topical cream, something with lidocane? I hope you feel better soon! HUGS Kit

I'm sorry it hurts, but how exactly is it his fault he hit a nerve? You basically point and stab. It was entirely random.

It’s not random if they are supposed to know where to put the shot.

On a different better note..I’m taking my niece off my sisters hands all day on Saturday and I have big plans for her to have a lot of fun. We are driving to a shopping village an hour away and they have an indoor thing for little kids with a merry go round, pumpkin picking hayride and also a nice little toy store where she can have what ever she wants courtesy of Aunt Jersey. Maybe she will want blocks or a ride on toy or a doll.

Hugs, Jersey. I didn't even realize you could start bleeding from flu shot? Though this makes me think of when I worked at Spencer Gifts in high school, and we had to pierce ears. I refused to do it for a long time, then finally agreed.
Possible trigger:
I figured it out after that and generally did a good job with it for future customers, even in the cartilage, which we technically weren't supposed to do, but, eh...

Thanks LT..usually the flu shots don’t make you bleed. I had a new shirt on that got completely ruined. Then the pharmacist wanted me to sit there for 10 minutes (which I didn’t do because I was already late to go pick up my toddler twin friends)

I was really nasty to the pharmacist. I kind of feel bad. He looked really young.
