The therapist you used to tell me when I was depressed that anyone can do anything for just 10 minutes.

So can you set a timer for 10 minutes and do something? A 10 minute walk? Or 10 minutes of cleaning something? Anything at all for 10 minutes..

Thanks, Jersey. I’m going to go to a coffee shop and trade off reading a book I love and working on a project.

I am cross because I accidentally bought some marinated chicken breasts rather than chicken thighs. I really hate chicken breast meat and will have to figure out some way to chop it up and disguise it

Is there that much difference between chicken thighs and chicken breasts?

To me chicken breast seems dry and flavorless compared to thighs. SD you could soak it in some sort of sauce or marinade and shred it. I do enchiladas sometimes, not sure if you're into that.

Thighs are dark meat and have more fat. So they’re tastier (to me anyway).

When I make chicken breasts I usually have to make some sort of sauce to go with them.

They came marinated. It is not so much their lack of flavor but just how yucky they are in general. If they were not marinated in a spicy sort of marinade - I could feed them to the dogs and one of my cats (the other does not like human chicken). I am more irritated that I didn't pay attention and bought the wrong sort.

I'm seeing pdoc tomorrow and I'm nervous. Last appointment didnt go so well since it was incredibly rushed. And the other appointments he has been talking about the hospital. With the SH this week and the other night with the SA, I'm scared about what he's going to say tomorrow.

"Human chicken". Thats a good one.

I am trying to decide what to have for breakfast. Looks like i am skipping breakfast and going straight into lunch, as i have been up since 9:30, altho that is EST, so thats really 10:30 cow time, which makes right now 1:15 EDT and almost working peoples dinner time (4 pm). Maybe im just not hungry today. Maybe i will just have more coffee, that sounds like a plan.

I’m the opposite-I only use chicken breast when I cook-unless I make chicken noodle soup then I use thighs but I don’t eat my chicken noodle soup. I hate soup. I usually just make a huge pot of it and H lives off of it until there is no more.

I brought Perdue thin cut breast today. I’m making cutlets for dinner. I usually dip them in egg beaters, lightly coat them in bread crumbs then fry them in Pam cooking spray. That method trims calories.

I just got back from a 2 mile walk with the dog. It probably didn’t put a dent in the amount of calories I consumed yesterday but at least it was something.

I need to do more Christmas shopping today. I thought I reached the point where I was finished buying toys but when I was going through everything I bought yesterday I noticed I only got the 4 year old 3 things but his sister and brother got 5 things. His stuff was more expensive but so I’m trying to decide if I actually need to balance out the number of boxes. He will probably count them wondering why his sister and brother have 5 boxes and him only 3. I could just tell him to be grateful and not complain if that happens but I don’t actually let them know the gifts are from me. I told them I have a direct connection to Santa through a special nanny elf named Fizzle.

My boss texted me this morning asking me to please call in sick if I'm still short of breath. Apparently everyone thought they were going to have to call a code on me and admit me to the ER. I'm still SOB - so I called in and if felt much better doing so when instructed to. I've got to start feeling better one of these days.

I slept.

I slept in.

I slept all night and did not wake in the middle of the night with worries chasing themselves around my head.

I feel AMAZING.

Jersey, when I did that with my kiddos, I'd get something small like a treat or a pair of fun socks and wrap it.

Those are good ideas. I’ll probably do that. His stuff really did cost more. She got some dolls and ponies but he got one of those marble run things, a hot wheels track and a light bright so his stuff was way more expensive.

No kidding!

Jersey, Hot Wheels are inexpensive and would go with the gift he's already got.

Now that it's on my radar, I think I might get some Hot Wheels for the boys' stockings this year for the sake of fun and nostalgia.

The cars are a good idea. I saw a pack of 5 yesterday in Walmart that were less than 5 bucks. That will make him only box short but if he asks why I’ll just tell him Fizzle knows that he turns 5 in January so he wanted to make sure there is room for me to buy him a present for his birthday.

Speaking of Christmas, I just went and picked up a crocheted frog that my friend made for my son for Christmas. It's super cute, so I hope he loves it.

Wrap two of the other children's presents in one box.
If he is a logical 4 almost 5 year old - your explanation will fall flat as it means he is getting his rightful extra box for his birthday and not xmas. So he is not getting a real birthday present - he is getting his xmas present late for his birthday
