Cancelled my t appointment - I have a cold and I was exhausted earlier today. I didn't have much to talk about with her anyway.

I'm still going to try and make it through work though - I cannot afford not to.

I EMDR-ed the absolute pants off a thing today. I didn't quite clear it all by the end, so we did one of my "safe space" relaxation thingies before I left. I kept laughing because my EMDR T was trying to guide me through it, but she was clearly out of her element since it's a thing from a video game that she has never played. Overall, very successful session.

Art, my boy cat has that brown mouse. He's definitely a fan.

I didn't get my cats anything, so perhaps that's why I was just greeted with some puke on the bathroom floor. At least it was thoughtfully placed.

They have all played with the brown one already. I keep hearing it squeaking in the other room haha. And they have each used the new litter box. Already!

Can you use an HSA for therapy? I thought I read somewhere that it's not an allowable expense.

Think my D had a pretty good therapy session today. I say "think" because I have no sense of how child therapy is supposed to go. Especially with a non-neurotypical child. It was like talking about emotions and some other stuff in the middle of playing and sort of doing her own thing for some of it. But she seems connected to P, like was looking for her reaction when she wasn't following a rule (no feet on furniture), which P picked up on, so that's good. Next week, just H and I will go to talk to P (without D). That should be interesting, as we haven't been in any sort of therapy session together since terminating with ex-MC.

Depends on the type and purpose of the therapy. Will qualify if provided for medical care and not just for the general improvement of mental health, relief of stress, or personal enjoyment.
Wonder how many hoops you have to jump through to get that approved.

My guess is, if you have a diagnostic code (for depression, etc.), then it would be approved. I'd give it a try.

I came home to triple puke (one was probably from yesterday). Someone is upset at her solo weekend.

And she was not courteous enough to leave any of it on the bathroom floor that's easy to clean.

Her gift? All expenses paid for the next year.

You're likely fine. I just thought I had read it wasn't allowed, but obviously I was wrong. I wonder what I was reading to get that idea.

I mean shoot - I have friends who use their HSA cards to take their kids back to school shopping and stuff so...

Yeah, I imagine you're totally fine. I'm surprised family counseling might not be covered. Ex-MC got our marriage counseling covered by insurance out-of-network coverage by listing it as "family therapy." So I just assumed that was normally a covered category.

I don't understand why girls can dress up as male charcters for Halloween and everyone is cool with it but my 5 yr old boy wants to dress up as a girl character and everyone loses their GD minds.

I cant find your prev post re D.

I think one of the books by Jeffrey Seinfeld showed a LOT of his session work with children. I found it EXTREMELY illuminating. Unfortunately, im not sure which one it was. I will try to find out, but i wanted to give you a quick heads up.
