I was carded for alcohol a month ago and I'm nearly 45! The cashier looked at my DOB and sheepishly smiled and said oops

How tall are you, susannah? That might be a factor.

I was just assigned as an outside reviewer for a search committee on the “environmental humanities.”

I’ve read the Wikipedia page, but I still don’t know what those are.

My next class starts tomorrow, but I can review the assignments and discussions ahead of time. I decided to get started and finished the discussions for week 1 and almost week 2. I really want to stay ahead and not get behind. Only thing I dont know is requirements for participation...some require 3 on 3 days, others only 3 on 1 day, some have a word count requirement, etc. This class is all about group dynamics. I'm hoping it's relatively easy but we do have to create a fake group as an assignment.

I was carded for alcohol Monday, and I'm 42! Got a little depressed when it occurred to me that I'm now twice the legal drinking age...

But good alcohol ages well, right? Like you.

I haven’t been mistaken for younger in years.

Your kid can be whomever he wants and I’m glad you are letting him. Tell MIL the people of the couch have spoken and she can go pound sand.

I’m home from work now. I have no idea how my day was cut short but it was. Dad came home early. That never happens. Like ever.

I had a girl in class today wearing a panda onesie. Halloween? Or just wanted to be in bed?

I am 5'3. I do understand them carding for alcohol and I would be surprised if they didn't. After all, you can have undercovers checking and you can get in big trouble. Lots of places around here have policies of carding regardless or of carding for everyone under the age of [enter age, ex. 45]. But I am not talking about getting carded for alcohol. I am talking about other stuff. Like when I'm minding my own business at my university and get taken for a kid on a field trip.

Medical professionals are the worst about expressing their astonishment at my DOB. They have no filter.

I wish someone would be sheepish after I clued them in, but they just tell me I look like I could be in high school and I'll be thankful for it later.

I'm just starting to wonder when that will be.

I have Dr. T tomorrow, which is Halloween. I'm not actually dressing in costume, but am trying to think of what to say I'm dressed as. Like, "I'm dressed as a client without attachment issues."

I would like to ask for some virtual support here. In 20 minutes i will be attempting to ring a debt collector with a script from my financial councellor. I know that i am in the right with this but these guys are notorious bullies and i already have phone anxiety on top of everything else. I have given my self 2 hours to do this or i will try again tomorrow. I would really like to get it over and one with. Thanks

A kindred soul.

Stopdog will be along to mock us shortly.

I am eating an appropriate dinner—beans and franks.
