I'm glad T didn't cancel again today. I don't even know why schools canceled today. It was cold, but didnt snow all day, just the early morning. Yesterday's weather was worse. H seems like he's in a mood since he came home from therapy, but wont say anything. Just keeps snapping at me.
I feel like I'm doing a bad job at explaining where I'm at emotionally to pdoc and T this week. I've been struggling a lot since I heard the news on Monday about the CPS thing.

I was doing so well on my healthy diet and i just blew it by buying cakes and biscuits. I had one piece of cake and i feel sluggish and bloated. I thought i would celebrate the debt collector thing. I have felt ok for over a month. Mind you my one slice of cake feeds 3 people normally

There's no such thing as "home field advantage" this World Series

I get mistaken for being younger than I really am a lot too. One factor is probably my wardrobe, and that I don't usually wear even a lick of makeup.

I dunno, I think everyone should be able to throw out a heartfelt “Good lord” once in a while. It seems like it would be satisfying. How’d it feel Jersey?

I've a similar story - I have two black kitties. About two months ago I heard the neighbor kids talking while my girl kitty was in the window. They said "Don't they know black kitties are bad luck. That kitty is weird too as he meows all the time" (It was my girl kitty in the window though). I laughed really hard because my male kitty does meow a lot when he's in the window (they are littermates)

Things aren't good for me.

I found my successor's LinkedIn... He's incredibly qualified. a double major in IT related fields, close to a decade of work experience.

I only have my diploma and my 5 year's experience in the job I burned out of. I couldn't take the pressure and work hours. It's hard for people to believe but unpaid overtime was my norm and I was legally exempted from overtime pay despite not exceeding the income ceiling.

I don't even know if I've a job in my company to return to at the end of my unpaid gap year, and I don't think I even want to go back to that job which caused the burnout.

But what else can I do? I am a poor candidate for all the IT job ads I see on job sites and LinkedIn. I doubt I'd be able to work a customer facing job. I feel worthless and useless.

But maybe on the plus side, I accepted a friend's help to get me some makeup? Me being feminine is scary to me, but the "makeup without looking like you're wearing makeup" look is a must in my local area for a lot of jobs.

I am sad things arent looking good for you. Maybe after the gap year you will be refueled and can look at jobs again. I know IT is a very competitive field. Could you look over seas for a job? I am not sure where you are and whether this would be a huge drain on your finances. Any would be better than the FOO yes?
Thanks for this!

Thats so sweet that they take notice of the cats My black cat is definitely the weirder of my two cats.
My cats name is Salem i feel i should have called his name to give creedence to the witch idea.

It’s raining today and raining all day. I kind of feel bad for all the parents who have to take their kids trick or treating in this wet weather.

PS- Dont knock on Jerseys door. There is no candy here. I’m not doing it to be mean. Just over the past few years we hardly got any trick or treaters so I don’t bother to buy it and just keep the doors closed and porch light off. Last year I didn’t buy it and only one trick or treater knocked.

There's still snow on the ground here, but is supposed to be about 48 degrees today. Hoping to go while it's still light out so that the kids dont get too cold. My one son says he doesn't want to go trick or treating, which is okay but I think he'll change his mind once he is in a better mood.

It's warm and wet here, with possible "violent storms" tonight, but they should be hitting after trick or treating would happen. They're doing a "Trunk or Treat" thing at D's school, which they'd move inside if it rains, so we may just go to that, depending on the weather. It tends to be hit or miss how she does with trick or treating anyway--she may just want to do a few houses, she may want more. She might feel more comfortable just trick or treating in the school parking lot. And then she'd get to see some classmates in costume--they're not allowed to wear them to school.

It’s warm here too. It’s going to be like 73 today. Just wet with same-strong storms later.

I'm not sure when I stopped. I know I went once in middle school, but hadn't gone a couple years before that. And I dressed up a couple times in my 20s, too, but not for trick or treating, of course! My mom HATES Halloween, so I never got that into it. She says she doesn't like the idea of pretending to be someone you're not, which...what? She seemed fine with my brief acting career in high school though (just school plays, had a lead in one of them--well, not *the* lead, but one of the characters with the most speaking parts.
