Ugh. Adventures in single parenting.

I think I’d rather eat my left shoe than go to Costco on a Sunday. Or ever, really. And yet...

Wish me luck. I’m going in.

P.S. Even Costco on Sunday is worth it to be able to breathe.

I love costco but avoid it like the plague on weekends. I feel the same way about Trader Joes except more.

TJ’s is my third stop. Gah.

Home improvement store next. That’s more fun. Not so much on Sunday afternoon, but needs must.

I don’t have a Costco Membership but I do belong to BJ’s (same difference). I avoid the giant pastry trays.

Today I went to the grocery store and brought something that makes a meal.

I brought the ingredients for this recipe but I’m modifying it to make it more healthy. I’m using extra lean ground beef, low fat cheese, leaving out the corn and using Xtreme Wellness high fiber low carb Wraps instead of regular tortillas.

I'm listening to a new audiobook= Parasite by Mira Grant - every human allows a GM parasite to grow in them for the perks, then seem surprised when it doesn't go to plan.

And the dog is named Beverly.

I've actually fallen asleep twice with it playing on so it's quite good!

I watched a Professor T episode last night on youtube. Pretty sure it was a hijacked episode. The soundtrack had a background underhum in english, the picture was all jerky, and the subtitles were late. Makes watching a psychological murder mystery much more mysterious!

The casserole gets a thumbs up. It’s a very heavy dish-though. Even with the modifications I used to make it low fat it’s still really heavy. Now there is a whole big baking dish in the fridge that won’t even get half eaten before it goes bad. Next time I must make a much smaller version.

My house is cold and I can't really afford heat so I am hiding in bed. The problem is that I have been here all day. Feeling distinctly anxious and depressed.

Jersey, i would say thats very freezable!. Put slices in sandwich baggies, freeze, then microwave (or better, reheat in oven, they should crisp up?) to put over a "taco salad." Hate to see you waste all that work!

I came back from the home improvement store with a cordless drill and all the pieces and parts. The young guy who helped me pick it out was patient and helpful and did not make me feel stupid.

Also mouse traps, a bajillion paint samples (again great customer service, as the guy had to mix eight tiny cans of paint and still laughed when he heard me go "Ooo!" around the corner and return to ask if he minded mixing one more), and flooring samples for when the ex finally has his things out of the office and I can tear up the carpet. Heading to TJ's, board meeting, grocery.

Trying to stay busy and distracted tonight by doing more homework. I guess that's a good thing about classes is that I have something else to focus my energy on. Completed week 2s discussions now. So I'm about a week and half ahead except for participation posts next week...can't do those until others post. I think later I might try to work on the proposal and week 3 discussions. Weeks 4 & 5 assignments are done, and there's not a week 8 assignment.

I went grocery shopping at trader joe's a few days ago and thought I had bought a chick pea dish and tonight when I went to cook it, it turns out I bought gnocchi - it isn't terrible, and I don't dislike it, but I am not sure I actually like it. I really need to pay more attention and make sure I have my reading glasses on

Guess who's under my house again? Guess who's screaming outside my house right now? I'm really considering moving.

Chicken coop wire around the entrance points to beneath your house?
