I totally understand. My therapist has been gone for 2 weeks also. She has a new baby in the family. She comes back next week. I was happy for her and I missed her. Both are possible.

I emailed the office to see if I could get in Monday but no one emailed me back. The office manager has still been in the office.

It's okay, Hope. Let's say you're right about the administration...well they aren't the ones who get to decide whether you're a client or not. Your T decides that. So don't worry about them. Focus on your feelings about T returning instead.

Hope it seems that you read so much into your emails. I wonder if would be better served if you call the office especially if it is about scheduling.

What are you scared of? He's still the same T. He'll still be there for you. I bet too that he has thought of you while he was away.

Please keep your appt. Don't let the staff get in your way. They're nothing. Just stay focused and hang on for a little while longer.

You are right.

The office has a therapist, a PA, and my psychiatrist who is my therapist.

Calling is probably better because I can get a answer right there.

I will be so glad when he does come back.

I made it threw these two weeks.

I promised him before he left that I wouldn’t do anything to hurt myself.

There’s a pattern here.
Whenever you don’t get an immediate response you assume that people are ignoring/ don’t like you. You then create all of these scenarios in your head and end up spiting yourself.
Try to be patient and give people ample time to respond.

Highly unlikely. It's now the weekend and going into a holiday week. They may not have had any openings so they didn't reply. There are probably a dozen possible, rational reasons why they didn't get back to you. They'll get back when they get to the office next week. If not, simply contact the office again. It isn't personal; you do have a tendency to assume it is personal about you when the more likely reasons are entirely business.

Hope, don't repeat this pattern of cancelling because you assume someone is against you, then regretting it and begging for an appointment. This happens over and over again.

Usually the office manager puts me on a cancellation list.

My T stopped the cancellations because he told the ladies in the office not to cancel my appointments. And then I came back around.
