Hope, try to understand that those thoughts are the depression talking. It will get better. Keep working with your T and you will see improvement.

I am so lucky to have him for a T. Even during times that I’ve been difficult, he never got angry. Instead, he helped me get through it. I totally trust him.

Lately, I’ve been so exhausted that I’ve wanted to give up.

No one would be better off if you died. We don't want you to die. In fact, we would be very very upset if that happened to you.

I know that you said that many members of your family have died. But, I am sure that your brother and sister love you and appreciate what you do for them. They may just not know how to express it because of their disability. But they need and love you too.

And I am sure that your therapist does not feel that way either. He wants what is best for you and for you to be happy. I am sure that he hates to see you struggle like this.

I know it is hard to just totally focus on therapy and not on what is happening to him. I get how hard it is. But, you have come a long way. Please don't give up.

Thank you for that message. I needed to hear those words. My depression is setting in again and I had to ask my Pdoc to please let me restart one of the antidepressants again.

I’ve lost interest in the things I love. I don’t have any motivation to get out of bed.

My brother and sister don’t like when I fall into a deep depression. The holidays are a rough time for me.

I’m extremely sad today and it’s painful.

I probably have to miss my next appointment because the person who usually takes my sister to work on that day has a medical procedure that day. So I will have to take my sister to work and I really needed my appointment because I’m barely holding on.

Your sister can take Uber. I think you are looking for an excuse no to go.
Thanks for this!

Can your sister apply for disability transportation? You might be able to qualify to. You both could apply for it. Where I live, it is called the HandiVan. It is really convenient to have.

If she gets it, she can even take you on your appointments, and you would ride as her caregiver. By doing this, you would be going to your appointments too. It is done here all the time. So you wouldn't have to worry about transportation and neither would she.

I would hate to have you miss your appointment.

I know an Uber driver that quit driving, and he told me never taken an Uber or Lyft. Many people don't know the risks that they are taking by riding with them:

He mentioned that there are felons driving for Uber/Lyft because they can't get a job straight out of prison; riders are not covered should an accident occur; Uber/Lyft drivers do not even need a commercial license; Uber/Lyft does not even do drug testing; they don't do employee screening.

If you ask, you might be able to reschedule your appointment for a different day or time.

Good idea or maybe they can schedule you in for another time on the same day.

My sister won’t ride with Uber.

And even though she is developmentally delayed, she doesn’t qualify for disability. And if she misses a day of work, it’s going to cause financial stress this month.

I’m not using that as an excuse not to go.

I already have a few church ladies helping with getting my sister to and from work on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I take and pick her up on Thursday and Friday.

I can’t help it that one of her rides needs medical stuff done.

Hope,

I wasn't talking about her getting disability. I was referring to disability transportation. Even if she doesn't qualify for disability, she can still get disability TRANSPORTATION.. The requirements are TOTALLY different.
Thanks for this!

I will still be able to attend my appointment.

I’m going through too much stuff and it would be a bad idea to miss my appointment and miss the opportunity for my T to help me.
