Couch 214: The chihiro couch

LT, the basement thing reminded me of something my T2 said on Monday to me. He said he thinks every time I "see" him lately, I'm in a different part of my house. He said I was giving him a tour of my house. And I said yes and that he was getting to see all my kids, too, in the process, so now he knows what I deal with on a daily basis. It's kind of nice in that way since I'm in my own personal space, but I also miss being able to talk in private.

I haven't been able to complain about my husband or talk about what's going on in our relationship with T because he's always home when I have my video call and our place is just too small. I'm going to have to devote a full hour to this when we resume in-person communication

Thinking of you all as I catch up on posts I've missed.

I got to see my T in person for the time being. The clinic managed to apply to allow that for certain high risk clients. I'm so glad T understands I don't have the privacy in my household. Especially since we're talking about the parental abuses and the sibling abuses.

I really need to be in the same room as her and I spent a lot of the session crying. I left feeling much better but I remember some of the painful truths she's pushing me to acknowledge and accept. She suggested I make art about my current self, her and allies protecting my younger self from abuse

The government has now tightened things so I don't know how long this will last. The lockdown has been extended too.

I submitted an application the other day...I think over the weekend, to get a low cost or free attorney for divorce. I don't really know where to begin with all this, but this last month has helped me get distance from H and I don't want to go back to having an intimate relationship with him. I don't know about finding out how or where to get legal advice esp for our situation with CPS being involved and the SA reports.

And now I broke my glasses completely in half by being weird and embarrassing my son with tik tok moves. Hit them off my face and they flew off and hit the concrete floor. I can barely see now and don't have replacement glasses.

Reading the tiny print, initially I thought Fannie was petting a cat that was actually a poem and I loved it so much.

Not quite sure what to do with myself today. I woke up at 6 and made breakfast and cleaned the bathroom and now I guess I should go for a hike but I don't really want to get in my car and drive (I live in the middle of the city so it's hard to find nature around here). Maybe back to sleep for now...

Ugh, do you have a current prescription? I know there are some sites where you can order new ones that are really inexpensive. Maybe someone else knows the names of the sites?

As for a lawyer, maybe try contacting your states Legal Aid office? Not sure if they handle things like divorce or just criminal law.

I called my eye doctor place and had them order new frames, just reusing the lenses. But it'll take 2-3 weeks to get them, so I'm going to try some plastic bond glue to see if that works. I'll probably order a cheap pair online for backup just in case this happens again.

Also - Paul Rudd is going to play that therapist who bilked his client (will Ferrell) out of everything -the shrink next door.

Well you can see why i was confused!

Forgot to share my random, Covid-related dream last night. I was out for a run (yeah, I don't really run) in the dark and encountered someone coming toward me on the sidewalk. I was like, "Oh no!" and quickly crossed the street. I started running over there and managed to run into (like collide into) two people coming the other way. I somehow knew that one of them had died. Then I was at a party the next night and heard (on news they had on) that both had died, then realized they were siblings of my longtime friend, who was also at the party. In a panic, I tried to text Dr. T. But I somehow managed to post it on my Facebook page instead, and people were commenting on it. I couldn't figure out how to delete it (even though I do!) and was trying to look through a Facebook manual that was sitting there to figure it out. I ended up running into that friend at the party, and he was like, "It's OK, I wasn't that close to them anyway."


Not sure what *that* was all about...

One of the nice things about this situation is you can cross the street to avoid someone and not cause offense.

I also like having space in stores.
