Ya know, it takes a genius to see a connection between things where there wasnt one before. Thats how discoveries are made, and inventions invented.

I worry about you. And I don't understand a word you say.

Like masks you can wear while eating?

Really not something I'd wear on a date.

Stupid things like this make me not want to wear a mask.
When you ride alone, you ride with Hitler. 1-A in the army and A-1 in my heart. Praise the lord and pass the ammunition.
This sort of propaganda manipulation irks me almost as much as when therapists do it. Even though I do like most music from the 40s

You know there's a German word for excess weight gained by emotional eating in times of stress? Kummerspeck. Literally means "fat from emotional pain."

My poor sweet Rascal (diabetic cat) is not doing well tonight. He won't eat, and that worries me. He's been eating pretty well, 2-3 times a day since we changed to the diabetic diet in January. He ate this morning, and at noon-ish as usual, but this evening he is not interested at all and is hiding in my closet. Usually by 5pm or so he's meowing at me consistently asking to be fed, cuz I feed them at 5:15pm usually. The other 2 ate, and he didn't come out of the closet. I'm calling the vet tomorrow, since this not eating is new in addition to his back legs getting weak and him not jumping up on the bed anymore/walking gingerly this past few days. I'm sad. We've had him since he was weaned from his mama as a kitten. He's supposed to go back for a diabetes check anyway in a couple weeks, so I'll just make a sooner appointment like for Friday or Saturday if they can see him that soon. Poor sweetie.

Hi couch. I'm feeling very agitated today.
Possible trigger:

H is going to leave tomorrow to visit his brother but only for a week instead of 2. Better than none I guess, because I won't be worried about him just stopping over like he's been doing.
I have an endocrinologist appointment tomorrow for my thyroid. I haven't been to any appointment since this virus. Im assuming I need to wear a mask. I wouldn't even go if it wasn't required to get my test results.

My dad's dog attacked my dog tonight She seems okay. She had blood on her chest, but it seemed to have come from her mouth. She must have tried to bite back. I don't see anymore blood or any wounds. Scariest **** I've ever experienced. I don't know what to do. My dad won't give up his dog, and I can't kick my dad out. But my dog and I are dependent on each other and need each other. If I keep her locked away in a different part of the apartment, I'm punishing her. I hate my dad's dog. It's a Malamute. Too territorial. To dominant.

Got bit by a patient first thing on my shift tonight - wonderful start but now I have 4 days off! Luckily she didn't break the skin so I didn't need to be seen in the ED.

Fortunately my roommate made a huge batch of chocolate waffles for the two of us yesterday. I'm eating them warm with Nutella and raspberries

Just a quick update that I was able to meet (Zoom) with p-doc yesterday, and she's trying me on a really low dose of Seroquel added to the Zoloft I'm on (I know the natural thing would be to go up in Zoloft, but anytime I've tried going above my 100-mg dose in the past, I've ended up with bad agitation and anxiety). So hopefully this will help with the depression and anxiety. Took half a pill last night and just feel a bit fuzzy-headed, though I know my body will have to adapt. She said I can also take it like a PRN for anxiety as well. So, we'll see.

It is grey and rainy here - has been for the last 5-6 days and forecast has it for another 5-6 days. The grass is already higher than the cats and soon even the dogs will be in a jungle like setting if it doesn't stop raining enough to cut the grass. Such is spring. Along with allergies.

Spoke to my case manager last night. She is definitely going to discharge me next time which is in two weeks. I'm excited and anxious. I'm excited because she thinks I'm doing well and I've done "the work" and met the goals and she talked to my providers and got them all on the same page. She's given me tools to work with and now I just gotta keep it up. She says if I keep it up I will be successful. Still I'm anxious because she's such a positive, encouraging person and who wouldn't want that in your life? I'm anxious about losing the support but I know I have tools and I know who I can go to for support. It's sort of bittersweet I guess. But I'm going to try to think of it positively. I've done a good job. She's proud of me. She thinks I'm doing well. I don't know if I am getting better or just getting more stable. But either way I'll take it. Still I might have to take some anxiety medication today. She was really helpful to me post hospitalization.

My gym partly reopened this week (the weights/machines part—the pool was supposed to be reopened tomorrow but it’s been postponed till next week).

They give everyone a disinfectant spray bottle and towel when they come in. Only every other cardio machine is available and they alternate days being available. They rearranged the weight machines into clusters, one person per cluster at a time (though I thought they were far enough apart already when each machine was on its own).

I didn’t stay long but it felt really good to do something normal and more challenging than my at-home weights.
