I'm taking Friday off of work. I need a mental health day. I'm using a vacation day so I don't feel bad about it or anything, I could just use an extra day off this week. My Mom wants me to clean my room, ugh, whatever, and I figure I can take a walk, do some yoga, have breakfast with my Dad, sleep in a bit because I don't really get to sleep in on the weekends. My boss approved it so I'm good. Now I just have one day and 3 hours and 15 minutes to get through.

I went home yesterday afternoon from work, got home around 3:35 PM and took a nap until about 5:00 PM when my T called, then I went back to bed until about 5:30 PM when my Mom made me get up. I could have just stayed there forever. So for all my grand plans for my day off, I might just end up in bed all day too. But my Mom probably won't let me.

Loan dog once again demonstrates his worth.
On a walk, we meet a couple with three little dogs, all with massive Napoleon complexes. Lots of smack talked, which loan dog regally ignores. We walk on. And then I hear a frantic yapping behind me and one of the Napoleons got loose and is chasing us. Loan dog immediately interposes himself between me and the Napoleon and growls like he's Russia being invaded. Napoleon retreats post-haste. Maybe loan dog's name should be Wellington. |
