Couch 216: The Baseball Couch

I was supposed to see T in person on Saturday but someone at her other office has Covid or was exposed to Covid or something. So she switched it to a phone session. Ah well. It would have been nice to see her but just in case she is a carrier or something, it's better that we didn't actually meet.

Went to the aquarium for my birthday on Monday. It was nice. Everyone was social distancing. Plus they aren't letting very many people in. Everyone was wearing masks, unless you are age 2 or younger, and the workers were cleaning everything.

I just remembered I dreamed last night that my ex (the alcoholic who passed away several years ago) was trying to win me back and was trying to take me someplace. I'm sure there was more but I've forgotten it now. I do remember he looked really young in the dream, younger than he'd looked when were together. He was a lot older than me.

My second summer course is History of Photography. I watched the short (8-minute) first lecture online earlier. It was trivial minutiae heavy: “Beaumont Newhall published his autobiography, which is still in print. The last edition was in 1982.” Fascinating.

I'm rather enjoying not taking a summer class this year... and I still haven't enrolled for the Fall yet either... oops, I really need to get on that...

I took one photography class and one film class - they never really appealed to me. I am not really a visual sort of person.

Drugs came, chatted with the lady. She is so sweet.

Groceries FINALLY came, like 4 hours late! The shopper guy texts me, "No Bays eng muffins, do you want toms or aunt millies?" I go, "Bays are by the eggs. This is like being married!" He was very sweet about it!

I was setting outside waiting for him (his wife was with him ). It is just gorgeous out, sweet air, gentle breeze, not excruciatingly hot unles you move around a lot, i reckon.

I made a frozen Gortons grilled tilapia sammich - so yum. 2 actually, i was starvin. First food delivery i didnt get anything untoward.

Have you caught the disease which apparently causes one to forget how to spell sandwich and starving?
You kids get off my lawn - and maybe get an antibiotic or antihistamine or something.
For context - I leave restaurants when their menu misspells sandwich. I don't understand the point. And if they cannot spell the word correctly, I am not going to trust them with actually making one.

Artie's PSA of the day - Shadow work is f'ing HARD and it sucks. But apparently that is where I am at right now.

I couldnt sleep last night so i spent it waking up the animals in ways the wake me up at regular intervals everyone is deeply asleep except for me.

I was napping earlier and my phone dinged, and i realized that i was thinking/dreaming that i was grinning like an ahole at somebody for some devious reason. And my mouth was actually stretched like that.

Therapy hangover brain fog is firmly in place. I took 3.5 pages of notes during my video session today, L did most of the talking, she is well acquainted with my complexes, and the guilt complex/monster had me firmly in his grip for 1/4th of our time today. Ugh. I'm going to bed, night couch.

Finally the counsellors website was up and the 2 things i need to know are not on it. I wanted to know her fee structure and her experience. There is a photo of her and quite frankly she looks unsure in it.

Ok i dont know why i did it, but i emailed her and told her about her photo. Wtf

I want all the gossip!
