Thank you.

It's been going on for three days, on and off since before then. I stayed up until 4. Then thankfully got back to sleep until I was awoken at 7ish. I needed another nap during the day!

Tomorrow will be travel heavy.

Maybe sometimes there's no reason in particular. I hope you can do something small to bring you "joy" as my sister says- even if it's a cup of hot tea.

How are you coping with the medication?

Aww that sounds sweet. I bet she can feel how loved she is.

I’m shocked they’re still around. They were big in the 90s.

They’re balls with rubber strands poking out of their core and they go “koosh” when you squeeze them.

Are koosh balls good for exercising your hands?

I think they’re good for kids’ motor skills. Don’t know about hands, they’re not firm like stress balls.

Thanks, Lemon.

Today I went for a walk outside and bought a salad and a smoothie so that's something. I also got all 4 hours of studying in, though that made me feel worse because neurology is hard and apparently I'm an idiot.

I finally got a hold of my pdoc (T emailed her for me after she didn't respond to three emails from me over like two months) and am going to talk with her on Wednesday.

I hate myself.

Koosh balls

They're maybe 5" in diameter, have a bunch of rubber strings, and are fun to toss around and play with. They were gone for a while, but seem to have come back?

So, today in session, something came up about what people wear for Zoom meetings. Dr. T, who was wearing his pumpkin-colored dress shirt, said, "Yeah, you can just wear white socks and tennis shoes if you want." Me: "Is that what you're wearing right now?" Dr. T then lifted up his leg so I could see his foot on camera--and yep, white socks and tennis shoes. He was also apparently wearing shorts. It was rather amusing (but also disappointing that he wasn't wearing interesting socks).

My T has taken to sitting with a fuzzy blanket on her lap and (apparently) not caring what the back of her hair looks like. She referred to it as "2-D therapy."

You're not an idiot.

In first year I never actually understood neurology for the anatomy part which was probably 1/3 of the course. We covered it again in third year too. It sounds awful by I got by cause I could memorize stuff. By fourth year when we actually started the subject neurology I already knew it was a weak spot for me and I spent time watching Dr Najeeb lectures and it started making sense. (Also joined a study group which I dropped out off ). I know they're long and he does repeat stuff but I would really recommend him and you can x2 his videos. There's also Armando Hasudungan. (I actually did meet him and got a photo with him like a real fan girl).

I had to watch each Dr Najeeb video at least 3 times to get it to sink in. I was also told by an older year student that no one really understood neuro. Unless you're specializing in it you don't have to know everything.

I hope your meeting on wenesday goes well. When are you seeing T again?

Thank you!

I think I have actually seen them before but never knew what they were called. My primary school also had a craze where you could buy bouncy balls with string attached to them. Also remember yo-yos and flip pops.

Let’s just be happy he was wearing pants or their equivalent in purpose...

Fourth day at waking up early though I beat the 1am record by 30 mins. I was supposed to get up at 4am anyway to arrive at the airport by 5.30am,

From the airport it's another 20 min bus, but the coaches aren't running regularly and are more spaced out so I'd have to wait two hours before my one hour bus back and from there it's another 30 mins till I get home.

I'm hoping I can fall asleep at some point even if it would be for 10 mins. It feels daunting but one step at a time and all that jazz .

I took out the non-recyclables today.

I need a good project manager for my life. Part of my problem is that things in the critical path keep needing to be re-done, like taking a shower. If only there were like a specific time of day you could set aside for such things...

Just sent this to my therapist:
