I could use some motivation too! I'm supposed to be scanning a 20 foot long trailer full of documents. My ADHD is not having it!

I wish I had some motivation to offer but I'm plum out myself. I'll try drumming some up though. Maybe it will help!

I just asked my boss for some encouragement. Work is sucking the life out of me today. (I didn't tell her that part.) Plus I'm worried about my cat. I swear if it isn't one cat, it's another. My Mom said, children are like that too. At least I had the foresight not to have any of those! God knew I couldn't handle the stress of children! My boss said I didn't really need her encouragement. Just look around at all the people I help. That was kind. I don't know if it is true but it is kind anyway. Maybe all of us that are lacking in motivation today can ask someone for encouragement!

I think I gotta try to give Amelia another bath tonight. She's going to hate it and she's going to Yowl, but she looks terrible from that transmission fluid. Unless she has miraculously cleaned herself since I've been at work, I think another bath is in her future. It's really hard to give her a bath. Someone has to hold her tight and the other one has to try to scrub her fur. My bathroom is not that big! She gets so worn out fighting us during the bath that she looks utterly exhausted when it comes to the towel drying time. I wonder if she would let me blow dry her fur tonight. I wonder if she would like that or if the noise would bother her. My Mom was going to go buy some more throw away towels, the ones that are like $2.88 at Wal-mart because we pretty much depleted all my Mom's old towels last night giving Amelia her two baths. And I'm pretty sure my Mom doesn't want transmission fluid going into her washing machine. I'm going to need new sheets and new pj's too because Amelia was laying on mine this morning. My pink flamingo sheets!!!! Sigh!

Slumber, you know, you really have to drown her fur in the Dawn. Maybe youre too young to remember the Exxon Valdez? They just poured the Dawn on the poor little ducklings.

Yeah, I don't know what the Exxon Valdez is. But maybe we didn't use enough dish soap last night. We poured it directly on her fur but she was scratching, clawing, yeowling, trying to get out, plus she was wet and slippery, which made the whole thing a wet, sloppy, mess! Tonight I think I am going to get into the tub with her, clothes and all, and just scrub scrub scrub with the dawn and my dad can help me hold her. Because last night it was still coming off onto the towels and I didn't think that should be happening! She looks really terrible! Combing her helped a little this morning but I couldn't really get to her belly or her legs. Poor little baby!

Anyone else starting to get holiday stress? I really shouldn't be having any. I'm not cooking. Except maybe breakfast. Blueberry muffins, yum. We aren't having any extra people over (COVID) so it's just going to be me and my parents. but last year on Thanksgiving night I
Possible trigger:
so I think I am paranoid about the holiday. My T said I am not paranoid, just really ridiculously anxious. Okay, she didn't say ridiculously, she just said something like really extra anxious or something like that.

I'm a childless auntie who has lots of opinions that I normally keep to myself about how my sister should raise her children!!!!!

I know some cats like water but Amelia was NOT having it. She was like get me outta here!

She was doing that thing with their legs where they look like they are swimming but they haven't even gotten into the water yet. But when she got into the water she was all fighter kitty!

The McDonald's here now has blueberry muffins! They are pretty good too! I'm going to make mine from a box but they are going to be good. I haven't had what I consider homemade (I made it at home) muffins in an age.

Aw, Slumber, I didn't even know I needed a kind word until I read that. Thanks. That truly made a difference. You're such a kind gentle soul.

In a way, I really admire Amelia's spunk! For as timid, shy, and skittish as she is, she really lets us know when she is displeased. And as much as I hate that she goes outside of our yard, I am really proud of her, in a way, for being adventurous enough to do so. She isn't as docile as I think.

She reminds me of my oldest niece who is now 16. But even as a child she was very sweet, very kind, very loving. But....she knew her own mind. She knew when she wanted a nap (and put herself down for one), she knew what she wanted to do (wait in line to go down the slide and waited there even though her friend tried to pull her away to go do something else), etc.

No flamingo shirts (I don't think?) Just marlins/sailfish, some sort of fish. And zebras--he wore that one yesterday. I had a good experience resolving a rupture with him when he wore the zebras, so I have good associations with it.

I miss seeing his print socks. He said recently that he just wears white socks and tennis shoes during session now (and shorts, but I imagine less so now that it's colder) because no one sees his feet (and he showed me). Business on top, casual on bottom. Like an outfit mullet.

Hi Daffydungle, not so much brave, as I didn't have any other choice but to clean up kitty. She obviously got herself into a mess she couldn't handle herself!!!

No scratches or bites. Kitty was very upset and unhappy but she didn't attack us. I was surprised we didn't get scratched but her main objective just seemed to be to get out of the tub, not so much to get away from us. I think somehow she knew she needed us to help her with this sticky situation.

Unfortunately, it looks like we gotta do it all over again tonight because she didn't get clean enough. Hopefully she isn't as freaked out as last night.

Too bad the drumming person kept trying to get you to do it right handed, when you are a lefty! That's annoying! HUGS Kit

He really needs a flamingo shirt!

My youngest niece who is three, showed me a flamingo stuffie she has and said, I like flamingos! But my oldest niece who is 16 said that the little one probably said that because she told her that I like flamingos! I got a really cool flamingo stuffie from one of those save the animal places. I don't remember which one, but she is magnificent. If the kids come for Christmas which looks doubtful due to COVID, I plan to show it to her.

There was zero motivation to work today. Tomorrow isn't looking so great either. Also zero motivation to clean up the kitchen tonight.

I went to get eggs, the only thing I needed for Thursday that I forgot. Well, I hope it was!

Slumber, H and I have both bathed cats in the past. It’s so sad for me because it’s clear how much they hate it. Thankfully Helios hasn’t had to have a bath yet. Good luck to you tonight.
