I had a new wine last night that I'd never tried before, a White Merlot. Not sure what got into me (besides the wine heh) but I drank way too much of it. Apparently it was tasty!! I am amazed that I don't have a hangover this morning. Today is my 4th day off work in a row! One more day (tomorrow) then it's back to work on Sunday morning. Boo! I had planned to do some crocheting during this vacation and I did, finished brother in law's latest pair of slippers I need to get in the mail now. My sister figured out how to attach a leather sole to them so he can wear them outside and not rub holes in them quite so fast. I think he's on his 6th pair now? He wears nothing but these slippers everywhere. Here they are:

Done with work!!! I'm not scheduled to work again until the end of December, so I've got some serious time off ahead of me. I was going to go visit my parents on the other coast but the COVID numbers are so bad that I can't do that anymore. Now I'm not sure how I'm going to fill my time.

Session this morning was boring and now I'm hungry for stimulation. I wonder if I'm going to do something dumb.

Okay, but keep in mind Cato also recommends, after eating your cure, to climb up on a barrel and jump down ten times.

My dinner is only a gluten free shepherd’s pie with mashed cauliflower instead of mashed potatoes, and chicken for beef.

After h and I played Scrabble earlier, I crocheted these Christmas trees. Didn't have a pattern, just winged it. Tomorrow I'll sew some tinsel on and some ornaments. Having fun!

Hey couch. So the evening just took a scary turn a little bit ago. We were watching a movie and all of sudden h said I think I need to go to the hospital, I might be having a heart attack. He said his vision got all blurry and his chest felt tight and his arms were tingling weird so I took him to the ER and dropped him off, they won't let me in cuz of COVID of course so I waited in the parking lot for a bit til he called and said they'd done an EKG and said he wasn't having a heart attack, so now they are running some bloodwork and stuff and he's back in the waiting room, they said it could be 3 hours before they can get him back again and start having any answers. So he told me to come home and get some sleep and he'll call when he knows something else. I'm back home now and of course I can't sleep so here I am. Prayers/good energy appreciated.

I called our son and let him know what is going on and that I was heading back home and that I'd let him know more in the morning. It was helpful hearing his calm, steady voice.

I'm gonna go watch mindless tv and try to sleep a little. I know my h is in good hands, the hospital's close to home and it's the one that h likes the best in our area so I know they'll take care of him there. Staying awake and fretting isn't going to help him.

This is weird - I had similar symptoms this morning - my vision got all blurry. I went to the local urgent care and they called an ambulance to take me to the hospital. Once at the hospital they called a "stroke alert" and boy there were suddenly 10 people in the room doing stuff to me. Turns out I'm fine and it may have been my meds. If they let your husband sit in the waiting room that's a good sign. Glad his EKG turned out ok

It is my birthday and everyone forgot that the one thing I asked for was to have someone make me breakfast. So I sat around trying really hard not to feel sorry for myself. Then the boys knocked it out of the park. Their dad helped them pick out and buy me a gift, and eldest son made a pumpkin cheesecake, and best of all they spent the entire evening eating and playing games and watching a movie with me without complaining which is what really feeds my spirit, time with my people. They are good humans even though I had to make my own coffee this morning.

AND!!! I went for my monthly massage that keeps my neck and shoulder functional, and found out that back in February I won a free massage in the chiropractor's monthly drawing. Happy birthday to me!

I'm glad you're okay! That's what I thought too that letting him sit in the waiting room was a good sign which is why I was going to go to bed. Never got to sleep cuz he called and said come get me; I just got him back home and it turns out his was an anxiety attack. It's a long story but he's fine. The ER dr told him he needs to start exercising.... I really hope he will now.
