Okay linguistas. Im reading in italian about an active mountain rescue mission, and i keep seeing this word, so i finally looked it up. Doh! Elicotteri. Its soooooo obvious.

Possible trigger:

Eta - the story about ivanka not letting their secret service use one of the 6 and a half bathrooms was also reported in the italian newspaper. They said her humanity was all a show.

I wouldn't have got that either.

I like French because there are a lot of similar words to English!

You’d like Latin even more, then.

Web calls are not going as well today. Call after call is weird stuff that we were not trained on so I am trying not to be stressed out since today ends my week, I am off tomorrow and Saturday. It is really stupid I think making us take these calls when we were given only one day of training on the most common stuff only. Today NOTHING is common. I'm doing my best to change my attitude, telling myself yet again that there's a ****ing worldwide pandemic going on and taking some difficult calls that I am not adequately trained for is the least I can do and not bellyache about it because things could definitely be worse. Attitude shifts shouldn't be so hard to make!!!

well done on getting through so far. one day training is a short time frame to learn new stuff and you don't have to be perfect.

Is anyone else getting ads for a psychologist as one of their ads on this site? I have one right now, and it feels like he's staring at me from the bottom of my screen. Dr. T better not show up down here, or I'll get kind of weirded out.

I am always so surprised when I see people who want to be patronized and told what to do.
It completely flabbergasts me.

I’ve spent the day so far manning a “table” (= Zoom breakout room) for my department at my school’s big academic fair for local high schoolers.

Now I am taking the rest of the day off and eating gluten free oreos.

I opened the letters, nothing blew up and the anticipation was worse than the actual experience. My biggest fear is that he will move back here, but there was no mention of that. Surreal. I had put away the part of myself that dealt with him and his antics and was not prepared at all.

Thanks for your support couchies.

I feel so lucky with advertising laws in my country beyond hayfever and parscetamol no meds are advertised and psychologists are encouraged not to advertise. Our psychologists website arent as ' colourful' as the US.

Oh that's nice they can't do any med advertising. I feel like half the commercials on TV (and ads in magazines) are for medications (mostly prescription ones) and end with a long list of possible side effects.

I hear you about the long list of side effects. Some of the medications I'm like dang, the side effects sound worse than what the med is supposed to be treating.

They always make me guffaw when they say "don't take this medication if you are allergic to it." Ya think?!
