thanks una! i actually have an etsy store, but i don't have anything on it right now. Back when it was still active I sold 10 items I think it was haha - a couple of hats, a scarf, and some little purses. I might make a bunch of pairs of booties and put them on there and see what happens. H is very encouraging of me doing that, surprisingly, except he wants me to charge a lot more for stuff than I think I should. |

I just discovered that during the Superbowl is a great time to go to Walmart. The roads were practically empty and so was the store! I had to go get cat food, as we forgot to do it yesterday and we were down to the last 3 cans, which are a flavor they do not care for. So I went and bought a month's worth since they had a lot, must have just stocked it. And, since I was turned loose in Walmart without supervision heh heh, the first aisle I went to was the yarn. I bought only one skein though. They didn't have any marked down. I found a variegated one that's camo colors and decided I need to make my brother a pair of those slippers I've been making for his birthday which is next month. I made his wife a shawl several years ago, so it's his turn haha.

My mom is knitting pairs of Bernie mittens like crazy, with new cat’s help of course.
Meanwhile I keep thinking about a shelter cat I saw today named Nicodemus. His little card said he needed extra snuggles. Last edited by atisketatasket; Feb 07, 2021 at 09:22 PM.. |

I would like to learn how to knit. I think I might have been able to learn had I tried it before crocheting, but because I'm so used to having a hook, when I try to knit I drop stitches all over the place. I might try it again one of these days.

Aw, maybe Nicodemus would be a good match for you. And he wouldn't smell like your therapist. |

Booties seem like something that would sell well, especially because people might buy them as gifts for baby showers and things. For pricing, maybe see what people are charging for similar items, then charge slightly less so you're new? For cat food, have you tried looking on Chewy.com? I get some of my guinea pigs' stuff on there, and they have a subscription program where you get a small discount and free shipping, so then you wouldn't have to worry about running out (they always let you know when the order is going to ship soon so you can change it or add one-time things to it, like toys). |

I might just have to do that with etsy, thanks! booties are so little, and i have several easy patterns. Good idea. and thanks yeah I do use chewy.com already for their treats, and we got diabetic cat's prescription food through them cheaper than from the vet as well. last time i checked on there it was slightly cheaper at walmart, but i do like the convenience of chew with the cat treats. they never run out of those. i need to keep checking their price off and on in case it gets less than walmarts. oh yeah we got one of our cat trees from chewy as well, and it's worked out great so far, penny loves it! |

My T showed up late to my appointment on Saturday but she made it up at the end. I'm disappointed she didn't wear flowers in her hair. She made me promise to

My work friend who got fired, IDK, it's weird. She was texting me a lot last week and then she has pretty much stopped even though I have kept up my end of the texting. I'm writing stuff like, "Hey, how are you? Just checking on you. Hope you're having a good morning. Hang in there. I love you, Kit." So nothing too "much" I don't think. But her lack of response the second half of last week and so far this week makes me wonder if we really are friends. She said we were, and maybe she just doesn't want to talk to a former coworker right now because it might make her sad or something but I wish she would say that because I'm doubting myself and it is making me sad. I don't deal well with sad. Maybe I should text her and ask her what she needs from me right now. Or what would be helpful. Since it was the weekend she might not have been looking at her phone. I'm trying not to freak out too much. It's just puzzling to me. I miss a lot of social cues so maybe she sent some out and I missed it. I don't know. I'm sad.

I'll see how the week goes. She said to get in contact with her if I need her and she's always said she will find a way to fit me in, even if it is at 8 o'clock at night. Thanks for the hugs.

I am dehydrating some celery and zucchini. The celery smells so good.

Kit—your work friend just lost her job and is likely having a very hard time plus maybe job hunting. I know you’re hurt, but I would give her space right now. If I had just been fired I would shut down too.

Mark this day in history--Dr. T (who has said he's not into music) was more familiar with a current musical artist than me--The Weeknd, who played the Super Bowl. I said how I wasn't familiar with him aside from one song that's in a commercial, and he was like, "He has like 6 or 7 hits, how could I possibly know more about him than you do?" I blamed the pandemic (as I often discover music by being out someplace, thinking "Oh, what's this song?" and using Shazaam to figure out what it is). But I know he's been around longer than that. I think it's more that I'm in my little bubble of the genres I'm into and not really up on what's happening in the music world as a whole.
Which I think is sort of what's happened with music in the past 20-30 years. Where people aren't listening to what used to be "top 40 radio" or watching MTV or VH-1. We find music in different places, use streaming services that suggest music that's similar to what we already like, so aren't exposed to as much. Or, you know, I'm just making excuses for why Dr. T is more up on current music than I am... Though he did say it was his wife who wanted to watch the halftime show, so maybe he's only informed because of her. |
