Pimento cheese must be a regional thing, as I've never had it or ever seen it at parties or other gatherings. My mom did make a cheese ball sometimes, but that was different, based on seeing recipes.

That was been my experience also. I.e., not that my mom ever made it, but somebody did, here and there.

Red pepper is high fiber and contains vit c, so its a good anti-cheese-dote.

You should come to Europe and eat cheese. You would lose your minds.

I like the seasoned curly fries from Jack in the Box. There's only a few things on the menu there that I'll eat but those are one of them. Never thought about it with Ice Cream though.

My Ann Cleaves books got delivered today. My AP keeps me from being able to read as much as I used to. IDK if it is a focus thing or a motivation thing or what. The Vyvanse doesn't offset it enough. But...I'm hoping I can really get into these books and do some serious reading! I'm excited. My parents said they already brought the package into the house.

I dont usually like ben and jerrys. Is it candy or is it ice cream? If there are candy bits, they are frozen and i am afraid to break a tooth. You cant wait to let them melt in your mouth because then all the ice cream melts, of which there was hardly any to begin with. I do like some flavors tho like strawberry cheesecake or the fudge brownie. In case anybody needs to send me some.

I like it because it forces me to confront these uncomfortable existential considerations.

I just opened my Valentine’s package from my mother and she’d put Info’s thank you card for my condolence card in there (it went to her address since I mailed the card from there). So now I have a card with four pictures of him, including one with Info and another with his grandson, the names of his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson, Bible verses inside, and then a hand written thank you from Info talking about God and describing her relationship to her husband relationship as “secure and” looks like actuarial but that can’t be right.

She knows I’m a client, right? It would be a very sweet thank you to send to friends and family. Not so much a client. Maybe she got me mixed up with another ATAT.
Here's my guess: Her family was overwhelmed with a huge number of cards, memorials, etc. Part of the funeral price was probably thank-you cards to be sent out in response.

When my mother died, several of us sat down and plowed through about 100 thank-you's in a couple of hours. We divided them up and cranked them out. Is that impersonal? Probably. Did I have the foggiest idea who some of the people were who I was replying to? Not always. Did we feel badly about it being so impersonal? Not really. It was a devastating time, and we were on automatic pilot - just getting so much done in so short of an amount of time before we all had to return home.

If they were premade responses, she may have just signed them and someone else stuffed the envelopes, the addresses simply copied from the return addresses on the cards received. She very well may not have done all of it herself.

And none of that means the cards and memorials aren't appreciated. They were truly appreciated. It just means people are grieving and just trying to get through it all. I remember that task as one we honestly dreaded having to do. We just wanted to rest.

You can and I have. You have to buy 4 tubs of it at a time, but I somehow managed to eat it all before it went bad.

Yeah, I don't know why it's a southern thing. Although it seems others on here disagree, it's pretty tasty and other than having to grate the cheese is pretty easy to make.

I used to grate the cheese for my grandmother -but I was little so it was like a fun time with a dangerous implement.
Now I just use a food processor.

Palmetto is good but I don't want to support their company.

I just don't like lumps in my ice cream. I think ice cream should be smooth and not chewable.

PS - pimento cheese is not freudian - I saw your attempt to connect it

One of my large dogs is a goofus who can't figure out stairs very well -he is blind in one eye - he came that way from bad breeding -he was turned into a rescue with his equally badly bred siblings, and he has never had any depth perception so he can't seem to judge where to move all of his feet for stairs- and I have to carry him up the stairs about half the time. Snow and ice is a bridge too far for him - and the ice melt for dogs stuff I put down is too scary for him to step on. I got him safely up onto the back porch, sat him down so he could go through the dog door into the house, and the cat ran out, startled him, he backed into me and I went down the steps with a giant thud. I am a little sore today

I thought we already lost our minds, since we're all on here. It's like being dead already on Lost.

Wow! Who do facebook think they are. Its one thing to ban news service feeds but another to retrict viewing of state health pages and the meterology fb page. No one can updates on covid or the extreme weather situations on Australian fb. All over paying for news i know there are other means of finding this info but some people just use the convenience of facebook . Thinking of deleting my profile as i just use it for thenmarketplace bit anyway.

Appears Facebook cant get a definition of what constituttes a media news services and has just banned numerous organisations that provide information to people like state governmetns workers unions and legal advice services including domestic violence organisations. Apparently they are "working " to fix this.

Just taken a lorazapam for my dentist appointment this afternoon. Because i am sensitive to some drugs i took one early to see how it would affect me and if i need the other one closer to the appointment i will take it. I was starting to get a bit nauseous anyway.
