Hey, if you ever learn how to do that, convince yourself you have no regrets so you can die happy I mean, please share.

Although maybe I'm getting close to figuring it out!! Even if it's just because I'm so damn tired of regretting not doing all the things that I wanted to do but was afraid of doing because of that fear of being wrong. So many times I have told myself "I wish I had done such-and-such when I had the chance" or "If I had done such-and-such, then..." I have missed out on a whole lot of living, sticking my head in the sand and playing computer games instead, because of my fear of being wrong. And I don't want to miss out on living what life I have left!!!

Dear @@, I don't quite agree about cats. My cat Esther definitely prefers my Mom--sits with her at night and stuff, though she'll sleep on my bed (mostly because my parents shut their bedroom door at night). And Amelia will ONLY sit with me. She won't sit with my parents. She marginally likes my Dad--he does her afternoon feeding usually right after I get home and her evening feeding because she wants to eat at 9 PM and I'm in bed at 7 PM. But she runs away from my Mom who has never been anything but nice to her. My Mom even made her this little hideout outside with a crate, some rugs and a blanket. Amelia adores her hideout but she doesn't seem to appreciate it that Mom was the one that made it. Amelia definitely favors me. Cutie pie that she is.

That said, it can be hard to find THE pet that will love and adore you. And it can be heartbreaking when they pick someone else.

BTW, Esther is still very much my cat, though she favors my Mom. She is still very much my baby. I make the decisions for her care and stuff, though I consult my Dad because it's nice to have someone to bounce stuff off on and she rewards me by sometimes choosing to sit with me, like yesterday morning. Of course she is shedding and I was ready for Church so then I had cat hair all over me. Fun. But so sweet.

However, whatever you decide will be best for you. HUGS Kit

My T never did text me back. But I went to my appointment on Saturday and she was there, waiting for me. Yeah! I didn't bring up the texting thing mostly because I needed to talk about my sister's stuff and my T gave me lots of information about legal aid and legal separation and going to courts and stuff. All things I don't know about. It was a good talk. She mostly just says how well I'm doing. Well if I am doing well, why do I feel like crap?

More hugs, Kit. I ask myself that question quite frequently. Haven't come up with an answer yet. My latest coping strategy is trying to learn to juggle, which takes a lot of concentration, and therefore doesn't leave much room for Anything Else.

My newest cat - a stray my person took in - will bond to anyone holding a can opener. He is a lover lap cat -but anyone sitting down and who will feed him is number one to him. My old cat was super attached to one of my dogs - they came into the house about a month apart as kitten/puppy and they were inseparable. The cat got injured one time and had to have some complicated surgery and the vet told me to keep them separate for a week. When I got the cat home, they laid next to the door on either side and the dog kept licking the cat's paw that he would stick under the door. I relented after about 2 hours and let them be together. I was afraid the stress of being away from his dog would make it worse. The same thing had happened when I got the cat neutered. I put the dogs outside because the cat was still woozy and he stood in the middle of the room and cried - I brought the dogs back in because I was going to put the cat back in the carrier to go back to the vet for some pain meds -but when he saw his dog - he stopped and they curled up on the dog bed together and the dog stayed there with cat for about 12 hours without moving.

If I ever get injured and can't get up- either and or both of the cats will eat me.

My freshman year I lived away from home at a boarding school several hours away (very WASP I know). My cat, Sammy, according to my step mother, would sit in my bathroom every morning and cry for 15-20 minutes. She said it was one of the saddest things she’d seen. It was before cell phones were widely adopted so I never saw it. He was glad when I came home my sophomore year though.

Damn I miss that cat.

Stopdog, your newest cat sounds much like my guinea pigs. They seem to love whoever is feeding them or who could potentially feed them. I'm the main one, but my husband will sometimes give them some veggies when he's making dinner (I give them veggies at other times of the day). So now they see him going down to the kitchen, they start squealing (well, "wheeking" is the more official term) for him. But they also do this if I, say, open a bag of chips. They think every food is for them. I'm like, "Not you! I get to have lunch, too!" or "I've given you three things this morning already, I get to have breakfast!" My D has started saying things like that to them, too, like, "Pigs! Not for you!"

I just got back from riding my bike around the park several times. I have a spin bike I used all winter, so I am surprised that it is taking me this long to readjust to the bike saddle.

I will be reunited at my mother’s with new cat and lone dog next week. We will see.

I fully expect lone dog to slobber all over me, and then do the same to the next person he meets, and new cat to ignore me unless she wants warmth or food.

Senior cat actually did quite obviously love and prefer me—but cats like that are rare. And she was feral (I found her curled up in my car sleeping when I was packing up to leave college after graduation).

yesterday instead of writing a poem about my cats this silliness ensued:

Today I got out of my beddy
and forgot I was wearing a teddy.
Hopped into the shower
turned onto full power
Which of course got my teddy all wetty.

Technically, it counts as a poem for the poem-a-day thing! ha ha! 12 more poems to write so I'm more than halfway through the month. Woohoo!

It’s the last week of classes and I am so out of it I justed filled my gas tank with the engine running. Which you are not supposed to do.

Nothing bad happened.

Ok the birthday cake is ordered i swear if my ex thinks of something else for me do i will scream. I am wondering if subconsciously i have arranged it so i dont have to deal with a party situation? Thank god this is the last major birthday to deal with. Though he was talking about our eldest daughters 21st but i have already promised her money so she can move another state for her birthday.

My ex claimed to have been followed by a member of a head hunter tribe when he was 10 or so while living in Papua New Guinea. But i always thought those tribes lived deep in the rainforest and didnt interact with much with civilisation. But thats just from my anthropology course i took 30 something years ago.
