I asked my roommate about it just now and she was like, "oh yeah, that's been happening for the last month or so. It seems like there's a whole family of mice in there; maybe chipmunks?"

I just... what?! I realize why she didn't tell the landlord (he is a lazy POS and will likely do absolutely nothing about this) but I'm surprised that she a) didn't mention it to me b) isn't at all upset about it. WTF?

Oh UGH. And yuck. I am sorry she didn't do something about it right away. It might be worth investing in a trash can with a heavy-ish lid, and maybe checking your food storage areas. Mostly for hygiene/food safety but also so your landlord can't blame you for the mice.

My youngest sister asked for new books: So I've been having fun picking things out for her.

Oprah also has a new book out: What Happened to You?: Conversations on Trauma, Resilience, and Healing: Amazon.co.uk: Winfrey, Oprah, Perry, Dr Bruce: 9781529068467: Books

I also had the realization today that sometimes I email her stuff that feels uncomfortable because I want her to hold it for me instead of me sitting with it. Which was the case last weekend. But, she was her best non-judgmental self and so talking about it, being curious about it together, wasn't bad at all. We worked with the one dream I had written down over the past week and that was enlightening, she drummed for me a little and I did a short active imagination while she drummed that I narrated for her as it went. Good stuff today.

Glad you had a good session too.

Hope you do have a look. I loved her "what I know for sure" book.

I got her a few as I also had a free Ł5 voucher for downloading Amazon assistant. I have missed buying books. The last non school book I bought myself was in 2017 (Instrumental by the pianist James Rhodes) and I just stuck with libraries.

Me before you
The secret dreamworld of a shopaholic
You Got This: A fabulously fearless guide to being YOU - Byrony Gordon
Mad girl - Byrony Gordon
You
The lovely bones
The handmaid's tale
Lord of the flies

All those for Ł5? That's good going!

The book looks really interesting - I will pop it on my wish list for the next time I'm in the mood.

No my voucher was Ł5 off! Since I passed my last exam, my new mini goal at the moment is trying to be more generous.

I hope your generosity includes yourself, my friend. Although I am one to talk.
I've always appreciated the Jack Kornfield quote to that effect.

I've been in bed most of today. Just napping and watching Independence day so that counts!

How are you doing?

Hugs, Scarlet. I'm glad she'll still be able to do telehealth much of that time though rather than having to skip sessions entirely.

Several trying weeks have come to a head recently, out of the blue, as always.

Thanks, LT. My post was complete gibberish. What I meant to say was:

We didn't have much contact, but he meant a lot to me.

If the hour of pre-show with lots of shots of Bob Baffert and horses wanderinb about and people drinking mint juleps ever ends.

Well we found a house that I am actually excited about moving to! It doesn't have a pool, but then I don't have one here anymore either because they closed it, it's over 30 years old and apparently they think it can't be repaired at a reasonable enough cost?! Anyway the house we found is a lot closer to our friends here who do have a pool in their backyard so I will be able to swim there at least sometimes. And I'm going to look for a gym with an indoor pool hopefully there's one not too far for during the colder months. We shall see. Time to start going through stuff and donating what I don't want to cart with me to the new place.

Yay!

Have you already put an offer in and had it accepted?

How soon can you move in?

Yep. I was holding off on saying anything cuz I didn't want to jinx it. We're shooting for moving in June. I am in love with the kitchen especially.
