Ok this is the first yime i have worked with polymer clay and i have learned i need to get an x-acto knife set but here is a wip Totoro for my kids. They are getting one each. I also couldn't find plain polymer clay just sparkly ones. The chevron on the chest is wonky because i made it too big and i attempted to take it off with my fingers so need to get a knife

I had to order old man cat a new coat. The other one was misplaced over the summer and he just got a shave. He is still creaking around, and delighted with his new haircut.

I picked him up earlier (he's starting to have trouble jumping as high as my lap) and realized how skeletal he was last year(ish) when he was ill. He looks and feels healthy.

No kidding, in the early 70's i had shoes similar to that. Only the platforn was solid brown, and the uppers were gorgeous yellow and brown leather like swoopy saddle shoes, with a red leather circle appliqué on the sides. I got them in Toronto. Loved those shoes. Eventually the soles cracked apart.

We have to workshop in my writing contemporary fairytales course, and my interest in undergraduate versions of fairytales (at least this round) is really flagging. They all have happy endings and are about beautiful misunderstood princesses passively flapping around waiting to be Saved.

Did they miss the fact that real fairytales are dark, dark, dark, not Disney?

This is true.

Of course, shortly after I posted, I critiqued one that was really brilliant,

Disney fairytales are too dark for me and too misogynistic. I cannot abide the Grimm etc ones. Those are terrifyingly horrible and misogynistic. I like fairytales that are happy at the beginning, happy in the middle, and happy at them end. A happy sandwich as it were.

If you've used a crisis support/de-escalation service - did you tell your T about it the first time, or if there were subsequent times?

I've just reached out to a text service for the first time. It feels...odd.

I've contacted a crisis line multiple times. Each time I tell L about it. It's part of my crisis plan to call them if L is unavailable.

Usually I tell my therapist if I’ve used crisis supports. Typically if I’m still in some semblance of a crisis. Though not always. It’s just very situation dependent.

I hope everyone is well~

With instagram i always thought you followed someone and got new posts in your feed every time they posted but no i just clicked on a page and saw that i have not seen at least 8 posts from this page which i really love. How do you get every post without going through the dozen or so accounts you follow. Its kind of like fb which i hate as i have missed several important posts from a page that i follow and have not been notified of the AGM

That's really cool, BCM!

I think FB and Instagram decide what you 'want to see' based on posts that you interact with. It might be worth going through and liking a few posts on the pages and IG profiles you want to see more of.

I've run into the same problem a few times.
