Im a wuss pain-wise too, altho i am pretty good at sleeping through it. But not so good at like doing stuff in spite of it? Nope. If im achey or pukey, its game over.

I have been kinda thrown for a loop with my imminent change of address, but it seems to be coming slowly enough that i will be able to handle the changes. I would be disappointed in myself if i could not handle change or difference.

Yeah im not too crazy about newman-ohs or joe-joes. My dad would never buy oreos, he would only buy Hydrox, and i didnt like those even as a kid. Now - i just placed my amazon daily recurring order for a hundred packs of the oreo thins, only partly kidding!

Ok i think this like when my T asked what would happen if i stopped struggling? I did not understand what he meant then i am probably not really helping myself by refusing this things. This isnt giving in to my disability it is increasing my freedom.

I hate when people at work raise their voices. Or anywhere actually. But it just happened at work. I guess things are okay. It seemed to have settled down but now my limbic system is all out of whack.

They added a couple new exercises using a resistance band at physical therapy today, and I'm feeling quite sore. I'm still not entirely sure it's helping, but I guess this is just the end of week 3, so maybe too soon to tell? And maybe it needs to hurt more before it gets better (hm, perhaps not unlike psychotherapy?).

I remember the amount of pain my ex lived with pretty much 24/7, He was as cheerful as could be most of the time, but he was also an alcoholic - thankfully (if that is even a thing re: alcoholism) a cheerful alcoholic not a mean one. Sometimes drinking was all he could do to alleviate the constant pain he had. I learned awhile back that he passed away in 2012; I hadn't spoken with him in many years (since before I got married to h in 1997). I just googled his obit to verify the year he passed - felt a little twinge in my heart seeing his picture again! Even though he cheated on me which led to our breakup, I still loved him.

Visa appointment today. At one point it went something like this. Una must have been on my mind.

Visa: ...so your former SH was like relief, just getting the pain out.
ATAT: Yes, like old-timey medicine where they bleed people.
Visa: So get yourself some leeches instead...or a therapist.
ATAT: You just admitted that therapists are leeches.

Other personal things I now know about Visa: on the spectrum, daughter got yelled at by a psychiatrist at her first appointment the other day.

And therapists are now 2-for-2 comparing me to Rosa Parks on the whole issue of accommodations thing. Are they nuts? My situation is not even close to comparable. (And this is why I never believe therapists when they say stuff like heroic or brave.)

She's still being more helpful than Info on the issue--not that that is a high bar to clear--so she's still employed by me.

I miss my baby. I miss singing good morning to her, her getting her rubs while I'm in the bathroom, her little kisses, and her following me around. I'm still in shock. She's supposed to still be here. Both vets think it was the pain meds.

Ok first problem with the online ordering. I usually buy 4 kg of chicken necks for the dogs a week. There was obviously less than 1 kg available for my order so thats what i got. Usually i stand my ground and make them check out the back when shopping in person, they usually find it.
You can add notes for the personal shoppers so i might add not to get any chicken necks if there is less than 1 kg.

Yes i think it provides bulk without calories and helps clean the teeth.. they just crunch them up

Today a stolen car crashed into front gutter in front of my neighbours and he went off saying how sick he is of this happening all the time. I have lived here 4 years and it has happened once the other stolen car that was abandoned was across the road in the crazy cat ladies yard. He went on like it happens every other week sorry he was referring specifically to cars being left outside his house near his driveway..

I hate going to the dentist, but I need to. I waited around 15 years the last time, that's how much I hate it.

I get extremely anxious, and even with an understanding one (a low cost clinic with about 6 months wait), I have struggled to not dissociate or panic.

I know when the surgeon took out stitches after my wisdom teeth surgery back in March or something, he said I need scaling and polishing. Well, my union has dental clinics and I just learned I can get a lower rate due to my income level (just have to show my government issued card that's tied to income).

There's one in my neighbourhood, and the electronic appointment system allowed me to select the clinic and which preferred dentist. Found this lady one whose profile says she's great with anxious patients - hope I get her when the clinic calls me to confirm my appointment.

Can't be given a benzo for anxiety, it's psychiatrist only. I'll just tell the dentist I need her to stop and give me a break if I raise my hand, so I don't have a panic attack.

I'm in the middle of teaching Hamlet right now, and find myself exploring various Hamlet's. I'm rather partial to Andrew Scott's Hamlet recently. Students are fascinated by the wide variations of "Hamlets" out there. Makes for great discussion.

It is fun to compare. I think hamlet is a whiner (I don't dislike the play but he just needs a good slapping). I like the various Henry V St. Crispian Day speeches as well -played very differently.

A friend sent it to my email and I was checking my email on my break and I saw it. So I took some time to do it. One thing, amongst many, that IOP has taught me is the importance of self care. And I think it is helping me not to have so many urges to SH. Because if I am being nice to myself, it's harder to damage myself.
