Welp, looks like I'm going to a U of A football game tomorrow - h's friend just called and asked if we wanted tickets, he got them from the casino host at one of the local casinos and he can't use them. They're for a private suite or something that comes with food and stuff. Should be fun, a new experience anyway, even though I don't care so much for football. I know h will enjoy it!

Yeah, I saw that!

oh and the football game - i suppose the fact that i'm awake thinking about it right now in the middle of the night means I'm thinking twice about going. we're supposed to get there early for these seats, which is good since we'd avoid some of the crowd I guess. And we can leave early too for the same reason. Assuming of course we even go now I'm thinking it's not a good idea no matter what. I'm gonna tell h in the morning he should give the tickets to someone else.

I guess I'm just wanting life to be 'normal' again a little too much that I said ok at first, huh.

My first two were Pfizer, wondering if I should stick with that (no pun intended) or consider Moderna.

So far, there's been a chain of stores in my country that never sold alcohol. Maybe a fondue with some alcohol content or a tiramisu, but not cans of beer or bottles of wine. The stores were also comfortable in other regards, so as I struggle with controlling impulses while being around alcohol, I'd usually try to limit my shopping to there. They've just voted to allow starting to sell alcohol in these stores - some other brands already belonging to the chain sell it anyways and the whole idea behind not selling it is "overhauled". I'm kind of upset by it... it has been by far the easiest option to just not shop at stores that sell alcohol for me to ensure that I don't drink too much, and even then it's often a struggle. I really hate like most of the world is just oriented towards profit.

I've also gotten two Pfizers so far and am considering whether to get Moderna or Pfizer next (Moderna was more common here for the first two). Just my two cents of what I'm considering: 1) how many studies will be done on mixed vaccines? To make the best choices going forward, you will have to know what your risks and issues are, so even if all of the vaccines are similar, mixing different drugs might lead to less certainty in the exact outcome. 2) the third shot of Moderna is more similar in dosage to Pfizer than the first two. The main difference I'm aware of between the two right now is mainly down to difference in dosage in the first two shots.

But I'm still considering both options for myself and am not sure, just sharing what I've thought about.

I got the Pfizer the first 2 times and for the booster. I was fine yesterday all day, now that it's been almost 24 hours I have a very sore neck, I slept like a rock after I went back to bed and didn't wake up until a little bit ago so it may just be from laying in the same position for too long and nothing to do with the booster but who knows. H isn't awake yet so I haven't told him that I don't want to go today after all.

He got the Moderna for all 3. He hasn't woken up with a fever at all this time so I'm hoping he'll be fine. We'll see when he wakes up

All Pfizer.

There was a study recently that suggested going cross-brand might boost immunity more, but I think pharmacies' expectations are you'll stay with the same one. (Or whatever they have in stock.)

Art, the neck pain sounds like what I had. It went away after two days. I slept heavily after the booster too.

Also, can't your husband go to the game by himself or ask your son or someone else he knows to go with him?

She brought it up at the end of the appointment on Tuesday, so not enough time to process it really and I didn't know how to get out of talking about it. Then I sent her an email saying it felt like she was waiting for me to say something about the whole hospital thing but I didn't know what it was she wanted. When she sent me her Zoom link for today's session she said we would talk about my emails and whatever else I wanted to bring up in session today. Crap. That sounds like we are going to talk about the hospital again. Maybe we need to so I can purge it from me and it won't keep haunting me but I don't know.
I used to get a lot of ultimatums about going to the hospital voluntarily or getting involuntarily committed with the police... When I lived in the residential center for almost 5 years it happend many times. So I would reluctantly go voluntarily and manage to get out within 3 days. I hated it and I hated that they did that. My therapist was heavily involved in all that also. I know they were probably scared of liabilities. On Christmas eve 2012 I refused to cooperate and the police came and got me and handcuffed me behind my back AND shackled my ankles. I was extremely psychotic that whole year and everything culminated into be being taken forcefully to a hospital and put on ap injections. I spent xmas there. It was honestly pretty terrifying. I've learned wat not to share to mh professionals. I can be more relaxed with my therapist now that we have since both left that facility and we've been working together for 11 years so hes not as easily spooked by my hallucinations

My new boss at work is kind of a prick. We are actually friends and we worked together at my old job. But he's never been a good leader. He is way too passive and even passive aggressive. Usually in that type of environment where there is no leader and no direction I take on that role. Not intentionally but out of the desire to have some sort of direction going on. I think my new boss is a little intimidated by my abilities to do that and sees it as an insult to his over inflated ego. So he treats me very passive aggressively at times and even insults me when he's frustrated. Like he threw a tomato at me once during a rush and said I wasn't even doing anything. Which all of us were clearly working. He got mad that he messed up the order of tickets and wanted it to be my fault Cuz he can do no wrong. When I told him he's the one taking them out of the printer he got mad. When we're in the kitchen and were getting slammed the only voice u hear is mine because neither of them are very good at communicating. Idk it's an awkward spot to be in and now my mom and my therapist are like why don't you just go get another job.

Well after the vaccine booster on Friday morning, yesterday by like 11am or something I had the mother of all headaches... laid down and slept for awhile. At some point like 4p or something still with the headache I got up and drank a big glass of water and took a hot shower, then went back to bed and slept until my alarm went off at 5:15 this morning (about 45 mins ago). Headache is gone, thankfully and I feel back to normal! H never had any reaction to his at all. At least, not yet. I suppose he won't if he hasn't by now.

And my D doesn't seem to have had any side effects from her first shot (though she slept in a little yesterday). We'll see after the second one. I managed to schedule that for the day after Thanksgiving (exactly 3 weeks after her first), so that way, she won't miss school if she has any side effects (as she did miss the day on Friday because of the timing of the shot).

I got my booster on Thursday morning (all three shots were Pfizer). I was pretty tired Thursday evening and Friday, but I'm also reasonably gravid and have a toddler, so tired is kind of my default anyway. Otherwise I felt fine for all three of mine.

Congratulations EM!

Glad everyone is having a reasonable amount of side effects. I should probably look into the booster for me and mine.

well i'm probably in trouble at work now. i guess i was a little rude to an assist line person when i called and she was acting like she didn't know how to help me, so i got a lil frustrated and just said it's ok, nevermind and i hung up. so she put in the account that i "rudely hung up on her". i emailed her and said i apologize if i was rude, it wasn't my intention, it just sounded like you couldn't help and i didn't want to waste any more of your time and then i made it work anyway. she has not yet responded to my apology. Sigh.

Sorry you're dealing with that, JDNA. when i get frustrated with my job h always says "it's just a job, go get a different one" i'm all do you not even know me at all? i do not interview well. he on the other hand has changed jobs several times since we got married and doesn't have that problem. i think he basically goes in and just tells them ok i'm starting a week from today see ya. i don't know how he does it.

Artie, did you apologise because you thought you had behaved in a regrettable or unfair manner? Or did you apologise to try and smooth away the discomfort of the interaction? I ask because it seems that when you read that *she* thought you had been rude you were prompted to offer your apology.

Did you do something which warranted an apology? It sounds to me like it was a standard, albeit relatively unfriendly, work interaction. She can call your behaviour rude, but that is her experience and not one that you need to pacify.

I was brought up to be sorry about everything, including my very existence (as I am sure many of us here were). I work hard now at sifting through what requires an apology and what is the other person's stuff. One of the many problems with apologising for something which doesn't require your regret is that you risk getting an unsatisfactory response, thus deepening your sense of failure.
