This is a chatty thread. All are welcome. We're kind of psychologically oriented, sometimes. We try to be supportive. At times we discuss what that means.

It’s a place to plop down on the couch when you come home from work or wherever, or wake up in the middle of the night, or check in at lunch, rant a bit or not, and be among friends.

We advise you not to drink or drug and text your therapist ("T") - we speak from experience.

Sometimes the thread moves fast and you might get overlooked; sometimes it moves slowly and all you hear are crickets. Sometimes you get hugged or thanked pages later. So if it's a bigger question, you might want to start a new thread.

Grab a cushion, a spot on the floor, or an armchair in the corner and make yourselves comfy.

I think I’ve internalized ableism or something like that (I dislike the word ableism). I’ve spent the whole say feeling like a pathetic fool for complaining so much and trying to get accommodations and dragging all these innocent bystanders into the process.

Two, everybody is only temporarily ableeared. I remember how isolated i felt during one particularly bad ear infection. I dont mean to go all Harrison Bergeron on everybody, but yeah people need to be reminded, goaded, whatever.

Went to the gym earlier. So there's floor to ceiling windows between the check-in desk and pool. Anyway, while I was swimming I happened to glance up toward the windows and had to do a double-take, there was a gal standing at the check-in desk wearing these flesh-tone leggings that were so tight, and so perfectly matched to her skin tone, at first it looked like she was walking around half naked! I was thinking to myself dang now that's body confidence to the nth degree. Or something.

Trader Joe’s this morning had a bunch of adults in Halloween costumes. I admit I don’t understand why an adult would dress for Halloween outside of going to a party or maybe taking their kids trick or treating.

And also I really want to know what the guy in the neon orange tights and tutu was supposed to be.

The quest to widen my support network continues. I've found a UK based forum for people who have been impacted by suicide loss, and I am in the middle of filling out their registration form.

Well, Dr. T was released from jury duty. I'm not sure if it was because he is SO IMPORTANT or if they didn't have any trials for which they needed juries today. I'll ask in today's session.

So because I refuse to learn my place, I put in another ADA accommodation request (checked with the lawyer first to make sure it met the "reasonable accommodation" standard, and it does).

I know this one--it's more complicated than usual--will likely be an extra-special clusterfark. But maybe they'll surprise me.

Update on my dog:

Possible trigger:

Her exam is done and she is at the cremation place. I paid for their services. I was too foggy when talking to them, so I think they said I'll get her ashes and paw print back in 2-3 weeks

I also started working on a scrapbook for her. And I ordered her pedigree trees from AKC.

I was feeling really hard on myself for not having a lot of pictures, but H brought it to my attention that we only had her for four years (we got her when she was three).

I dressed up for halloween on friday morning just long enough to take a selfie to submit for the costume contest at work. i won 3rd place! a little bucket of chocolate which I can't eat because of working on losing weight. oh well, h will enjoy them anyway. here i am in all my costumed glory, for a few minutes anyway (the glasses make my nose look even huger than it is haha):
