Feeling decently productive today too. Started laundry (only have 3 weeks worth...). Made an appointment for the orthopedic (my joint pain has been horrible lately and the pain meds aren't helping). Least I've done something today!

I put in a huge load of towels last night. I don't know how just h and I have so much laundry all the time. I haven't moved them to the drier yet. Guess I oughta go do that....

I have the teeniest, tiniest sore throat and I am jumping to conclusions that it is Covid (I think because I know so many people who is getting it right now). Seriously, if Covid didn't exist, I wouldn't even be blinking at this sore throat. But I made myself an appointment for later today at a State Run site to see if it is Covid. I hope not. I don't want to miss that much work! I find the state run sites are significantly less busy than the county or city sites. I made an appointment at 2 for 330 same day. I can't even get an appointment at a pharmacy.

I hope it's not Covid, Kit. It's good you were able to get a testing appointment today. Do you know how long it will take to get results?

Back from Info.

Fashion report: black leggings, lavender wool socks pulled up over leggings, black ankle boots. Top a red sweatshirt with a big white heart on the chest. Red-glass heart pendant and some gold chains.

I broke up with her as planned and we also talked about her retirement. It's not our last appointment; goodbye session in March, nothing between now and then. I asked her to write a goodbye letter, ideally without using phrases like "it has been a privilege to be on a journey with you." We'll see if she can manage that. Mostly I'm hoping she'll write something dippy that reminds why I liked her and also why I couldn't stand her anymore.

Also the giant stuffed bear that was the best thing about her office for me is mine now.

I am 5% regretful, 40% relieved and 55% happy I finally made this move.

Just before I logged off work for the day we found out that part of our mandatory overtime is being extended into the first 2 weeks of February. We no longer have to work the 6th day, hallelujah, but still have to work 2 hours OT every normal workday. So we're down to working 50 hours a week now for the next 2 weeks.

Send chocolate.

That's quite the outfit. Valentine's Day 2 weeks early with all the hearts? And the socks over leggings are giving me an '80s vibe. I recall in elementary school (late '80s) having leggings/knit pants that had fake socks built into them...

I'm glad you feel 95% good about the decision and that you'll have an actual good-bye session. Did she give you the option to call if you'd want an appointment before that? Curious as to what she'll say in your letter.

And it's great that she gave you the bear. How big is it? Like one of the giant Costco ones (my daughter has one) or smaller?

Well, she does do Jazzercise (which I associate with the 1980s).

This is the bear. Medium-sized?

Capes are shorter. Also I tend to think of cloaks as made of heavier material and warmer. They don't swirl like capes do.

Also they did not call Batman the Cloaked Crusader.

Open for Adele? We're good enough to be our own Siegfried and Roy, Penn and Teller.

ETA: no, we’re gonna be the new Fry and Laurie. Or Mitchell and Webb.

L or E?

I always thought Vivian Vance was very funny. And I particularly like the story that she told people they had to go home when she had a party. I do that too.
