This morning I made a appointment to see a new therapist and should get a call back with in a week.

I have made a difficult decision to leave my trauma therapist as she seems to not be there for me right now. My mental health has suffered allot in the past few months and with her not replying to text and dis missing my feelings. We have not had a session in 3 months and I honesty think it was wrong to follow her going into private practice.

I feel like all my progress I made with her is gone now. I am feeling so overwhelmed with crying it's been a stressful 3 months.

I just want to say good for you for taking control of what must be a really distressing situation. Losing a therapist isn't easy, but add to that the confusion of almost being strung along like you have been, and I think you should really commend yourself for reaching out and making a decision to seek alternative care. That is a big step to take. I really hope that your new therapist works out for you and that you can get back to feeling level and moving forwards again. Take care.

I'm so sorry, Cheryl. It sounds like you're making the right decision. I know it's hard to feel this now, but you've haven't lost the progress you made with the other therapist.

I hope that the new T is helpful and also more available.

It is really good that you are advocating for yourself. Even though painful, you are not getting the help you need and are taking steps to change this. Three months is a very long time to leave you without support.

I wouldn't say you have lost any progress you made. The effort you put in, the work you did, the growth etc. These are still 'banked' in your account - you never lose that, you build on it, even with someone new.
