Very true Stopdog! I think even the general pop. needs to keep that in mind.

My hair started thinning probably a decade ago and I hate it. I'm not bald by any stretch, but my scalp is visible on the top. I've always felt that my hair is one of the only nice things about me because certain people would compliment me on it. I have body image issues, I know. When it started thinning, it caused me some distress. The first thing it mentions in that drug leaflet they give you at the pharmacy is that your hair may fall out at the beginning, so I was feeling quite worried about that. Thank you all for your anecdotal evidence that it may not happen to me. Lessens my anxiety somewhat. The doctor also said that it's a very small dosage, so maybe that helps also.

I made those 2-ingredient air fryer bagels today. They're pretty tasty I think. Not sure why they call them 2-ingredient bagels since there's 3 ingredients but... anyway. You mix together 1 cup of green yogurt and 1 cup of self-rising flour, knead til you have a nice dough, I had to use a few extra sprinkles of flour to get it un-sticky. Then cut into 4 pieces, form into bagels, brush with egg, and air fry at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes. I usually make bagels the long way involving leaving them rise, then boiling them, then baking them... but for how easy/quick these are, they are pretty tasty. I used a vanilla/cinnamon flavor yogurt.

Omg that bookmark is so cute!!!

Now i wanna make crocheted corsages for all my clothes!

ETA - NP - I wanna ask my dr if i can take Rogaine or the ladies equivalent (while i am on blood pressure med?). But if my brother's case is any indication of its effectiveness, it doesnt raise much hair but it does raise your nose...

ETA - Actually making progress on the house. Its gone from like 99 pct a mess to lower 90's.

I am ready for dinner but i dont know what i want. I had two chicken wraps for breakfast. Maybe soup with greens and beans.

ETA - ordered a pizza, saved more than half, ate the salad first. I just could not face more beans! Got double mushrooms and spinach on the pizza, so yum. Dominos pan, so thick crust and double cheese. Now trying to figure put how to warm it up later.

I did not say easy- I implied possible and stated you had a choice– those are very different from easy.

Gorgeous!

ETA , ive been reading the icarly's sidekick's autobio. That show mustve been hard to watch, her character is so abrasive. I understand it came back now (10 years later) without her.

Its an interesting, sad, funny read. Boy she "qualifies" for at least 5 forums on MSF, and that was all before she turned 21.

I tried Rogaine for women and it did nothing. I actually find natural products with henna work better.

Wild growth is cheaper and actually works: Amazon.com

I cooked a roast yesterday & made mashed potatoes, we just had leftovers for dinner. It was pretty yummy.

My son is leaving on his new adventure, moving 1300+ miles away, in about 2 weeks... I'm so excited for him, and sad for me all at the same time.

Agency is not the same as easy or fun -I have no idea why people are confusing these. But have at it if you must. People keep doing what they're going to do until they decide to stop. But it is all a choice

Fine, I'll bite in case it's not bait but a genuine question.

It's because for a lot of people, they've experienced a lot of people using such phrases in dismissive and invalidating ways. With the heavily implied or outright expressed connotations that "it's easy, so you must be getting some kind of secondary gain and are deliberately not choosing to be better."
Etc.

Yes, I know we also don't have to care about what people think or choose to say. Etc etc.

An analogy perhaps would be people who don't trust MDs being regularly told we're ridiculous, choosing to stay sick on purpose.

This is so very true and appreciate you saying this. One can't read tone very well in a written message and due to a background in being dismissed/judged, it's natural to assume there's an implication along the lines of 'You could do/feel something else if you really wanted to' and (in another example) 'you should just stop needing your therapist.'

No one appears to be confused about the concept of agency although, ironically, you seem to be the person who least understands lack of agency. Reclaiming agency after repeated experiences of your agency being taken from you is a long and difficult process. People here are describing the nuance of that process; it is not as crude as suddenly and dramatically one day changing course. Also, individual agency is impacted by broader socio-political factors which we can't determine or control. "Deciding to stop" is complex and sometimes people are slow to act differently, it doesn't mean they don't understand stuff.

I think my microwave has a non-microwave option. I dont have those other gadgets. I was wondering about a fry pan. Or i could just clean the kitchen so i can use the regular oven. But that would not work for breakfast.
