I actually got a good "selfie" of myself that I actually like. So I ordered some prints of it 4x6 from Costco and I am going to enclose them in some of my Christmas Cards this year. I usually do a poem, but I think I am going to switch it up.

Think that's a lovely idea kit.

Thanks Lemon. So much of what I have for photos of people are stuff I have gleaned off of their social media. Like with my nieces. So I wanted to give people the opportunity to have a photo in their hand if they wished. I think my nieces will like it and maybe my nephews. Hard to tell with the boys because they are very closed off about feelings and stuff but they did make a point to come see my Mom and Dad and I at the park when we went to visit my sister. (Sister is in process of divorce, girls are with Mom, boys are with Dad). We weren't sure we would get to see the boys but we did for about an hour and 15 minutes. And they were all very lovely.

I am going to have to start writing my Christmas cards next month because my osteoarthritis in my hands is getting worse and my hand cramps after just a few minutes of writing. So maybe I can start with the envelopes and get them addressed and then move on to the actual cards. We'll see. Either that or do like 3 at a time....

I did already get them ordered and shipped to me. Beautiful white cranes in snow. But you can still see the cranes.

Sorry you were sick, but glad you're feeling better now. Glad you're doing well with the other T.

Hi lovely.

Flake bars are chocolate bars made by Cadbury. (Now owned by Mondelez and their parent company Kraft- Heinz.)

Maybe ordering Christmas cards with printed personalized messages could be an idea instead of handwriting?

I may have to move to that in the future but the cards I love to get are from National Wildlife Federation and I don't think they do the preprinted message....Hmm. Good idea though!

You could type something out and print it (on nicer paper, if you wanted), then include it in each card. Some of my parents' friends do this.

I'm feeling pretty much okay-ish today, which is a relief from how I've been the last month or so. Getting out of town earlier this week was wonderfully helpful. I'm not even too bummed that I couldn't talk to C today (cbt coach) as my phone was acting up when she called, kept disconnecting us. I messaged her in the app and just said it was a pretty good week so let's just skip it today and I rescheduled for next week. The challenges I set for myself this week, after I completed them, were empowering and that helps the overall mood. I've actually dare I say it, been smiling all afternoon - it's Thursday so my weekend started a couple hours ago - short work week cuz I was on vacation Sunday and Monday. Drum circle tonight, he cancelled it the past 2 weeks and I wasn't able to attend the 2 weeks prior to that, so it's been a minute since I've attended one and I miss them. I've been cooking since I got off work - hamburgers and mac & cheese are done, and next up is pork chops. I think I'll broil most of them and freeze 2 of them to cook up with a rice dish later. They're pretty big I think there's 6 total in the package. I haven't had the energy to cook in a month or so, so it feels good to have the energy to do so again.

Penelope was having a ball out in the backyard earlier. She was chasing a grasshopper around the yard, I kept seeing it jump up out of the weeds and she'd leap along after it. Thankfully she didn't catch it. I don't think she really tries to - she just likes leaping after them haha.

eta: perhaps my improved mood is due to my facebook hiatus more than anything else!! That place became toxic to me. I may completely shut down my facebook account and never go back.

I hate my medical doctors! They're so stupid.

Good news is that I talked to an extremely nice and helpful lady at with my insurance, and she got everything squared away for my ultrasound. Instead of $410, I only have to pay $85.

Glad to hear that you won't have to pay so much for the ultrasound. $410 seems ridiculously high with insurance!

I'm so glad the insurance lady was able to get it straightened out. $410 seemed way too high with insurance.

We're heading out to h's liver biopsy to see if he qualifies for the drug trial his liver doctor is part of. I'm trying not to worry too much. Once this is over, assuming there are no complications, that will be a big stressor off the list. He has to stay there for monitoring for 4 hours after.
