I called my Mom on my lunch break and I was telling her how I was tired. She was like, don't leave work early because you don't want to give them the impression that you are not committed to your job.

I was annoyed by that. I've been at this job for six years and haven't got fired yet. Knock on wood. I haven't been fired from my other two jobs either. I have a meeting today anyway this afternoon so there is no option to go home early.

Oh, that's annoying what your mom said--I could see mine saying something very similar. They seem to have trouble trusting that we're capable adults sometimes!

Hugs. And I hope your shoulder feels better soon.

If you were buying a piece of furniture off fb that was too big for you move yourself would you bring someone to help you or would you ask the woman with a limp and a walking stick to help you carry it out to your car. I was stunned. Now i am stuck with it til she comes back next week with help
This the last thing i am selling everything else I will het my D and bf to put on the footpath with a free sign.

I am in some physical pain and have run out of paracetomol and i justbwant to sit here and feel sorry for myself. I need a shower because i havent been able to do the washing for a few days and i am wondering why i statrted all this minimalist stuff because if i had more than two towels i would be able to have a shower.

Why does one need more than two towels for a shower?

Art, my mother just had a graveside service. If that's what you mean by no funeral, I don't think it makes much of a difference.

Possible trigger:

I saw Visa today. I was too tired to make much of the session (it was at 8 am and I didn't sleep well, nightmares about my parents and I on a road trip when suddenly they drive off and leave me stranded in a tiny town in the middle of the US), but here's a Visa fashion report: Mint cold-shoulder top with black sports bra straps visible through the cold-shoulder openings.

Two towels, neither of which is clean, since one has not done the washing up. Ergo, no shower.

I havent owned or worn anything mint-colored since 1974.

I have a dedicated microfiber hair towel and then I use a bath towel. Can't see why you'd need more than that. But then again I think I'm probably an outlier because I don't reuse my bath towels. I gather most people keep using their towel for some undetermined amount of time before they wash it. So who am I to judge if you need multiple towels to take a shower.

I thought other people had multiples of things. But i have only ever had 2 of each thing for every person in the house. One for in use and one in the wash. It wasnt until my ex mil looked in my linen cupboard and asked where everything was. This was how i was brought up, in a very minimalist house not because we wrre particularly poor but my mother didnt believe in making excess work for yourself, though she did iron handkerchiefs and sheets.

I'm ashamed to say that I am more wasteful than y'all. I can't stand having to re-use bath towels. I can't really pinpoint why, it's just a thing with me. H uses his twice. I would have to do laundry less often if I'd make myself use them more than once but I can't seem to do it. I have like 8 towels, and I also tend to keep them until they are completely threadbare before I'll replace them. H has 6 giant bath sheets that he likes to use but I don't like the giant ones so those are all his.

The reason I can't bring myself to reuse my bath towel is purely mental block because even though I know I just washed everywhere, I always dry my face first and I don't want to do that when I know the previous time I also thoroughly dried my nether regions with that same towel. Everything was just cleaned, but still. It's just a weird mental hangup for me.

Just spent a little time pulling weeds in my side yard. Man they grow fast. Trying to keep ahead of the HOA nastygrams but now my legs feel like jello.

H has 2 liver dr appointments today, he's going to be participating in a research study his dr is helping run, for an NAFLD medication. I'm going with him, of course, so I can hear everything too.

Oh, and I did a henna treatment on my hair last night. It is now a pretty reddish color. Henna is my compromise for H - he doesn't like seeing my grays because it makes him realize we're getting old and I don't like to use the stinky, headache-inducing chemical coloring - so I found this natural henna that I'm okay with using occasionally when he brings it up. It doesn't match my very dark eyebrows, but then again, my original natural blond before it started going gray never matched them either! My eyebrow color never made sense to me!

Plus after using for a while, you can get a reaction to the chemical hair dyes. I did. I get all red and poofy.

Hey friends,

My T hasn't texted with any times to set up an appointment this week since she canceled our session on Tuesday. I don't feel like being a pain and a bother by asking her when is the next time we are going to talk but not having a day or time is kind of wearing on me. Making me a bit anxious. So I sit in uncomfortable unknowingness.

Kit - You can text her. You won't be bothering her. If she feels bothered that's on her. It's her job to hold her own boundaries, not yours.
