Couch, I am little tiny bit giddy because I think I might've met someone who makes my heart go pitty-pat.

Now I'm a titch nervous because it's been a really long time since I've, um...been sim card shopping...

If you’re una, it’s called printer shopping.

SIM card shopping is easy. It’s like riding a bicycle, once you’ve done it you don’t forget how. Just don’t, you know...simulate anything.

I'm really worried, and email-friend is not letting stuff that I am not worried about drop, any comments from the couch welcome

Basically my mum has been in hospital twice over the past few days, she's home now but will need help to check to see if what she had surgery on, is healing how its supposed to, she volunteered me for the job of helping her change the dressing, but I've said that I'm not comfortable cause I am not a medical person and so won't be able to tell if it needs further attention, or if its healing how they want it to heal up. So I've managed to talk her into having a nurse at the doctors surgery change the dressing and check that the thing is healing properly, I'm scared it won't heal even with it being the staff at the doctors surgery that will keep a eye on it for her (she cannot check it herself, due to its location)

The other thing I'm really worried for is Tigger, she's going into the vet again in just over a week cause there's a thing wrong in her mouth

The anxiety that she might have a cancers in her mouth is coming back, and the idea that it will get from her mouth to her brain refuses to go

Friend knows that Mum's been in hospital and she knows that something's wrong with Tigger, she keeps emailing about non-serious stuff which is adding to my stress levels, i want to help her but just now i just don't have enough in me to be able to continue to give her the help and reassurance she needs, plus mentally deal with what's happening with Mum, and also "fight" the ideas of Tigger getting mouth cancers then brain cancers and dying from the cancers i mentioned

i'll take the brain cancers for Tigger, if Tigger gets a brain cancers, she's a baby Tigger and she was the last cat that Ebony gave a wash to, so even now she might still have traces of Ebony-lick on her

Although Tigger's 10 or 11 years old, she still thinks she's a baby

i just can't do it all ...........

sorry i not sure if any of this needs a trigger button warning thing

IDK - last time i was on a bike, i kept driving it off the path.

Is anybody else into Beyond The 90 Days? Oh the humanity. People clinging, crying, raging. To a supposably SO. Supposably thats a word. Never thought Joey would teach me vocabulary! Anyway the racism and other interpersonal dishonesty and bogarting is rampant.

I found this momentarily reassuring, then realized...my actual bike has been sitting in the garage all summer because I hurt my shoulder. It has two flat tires and is covered in cobwebs. Heh.

I'm really, really angry right now that in my state if someone is stalking you, you can get a permanent protective order but
Possible trigger:
you can't. You have to go every forking year to renew it.

My family rescued a pup this weekend. She's a beagle. Tri-color. She's beautiful. I named her Zoey Adele. She's so cute. She knows sit and stay so I think someone must have had her in their home, but the shelter wouldn't give me details about her. She jumps up on people though. So I have to teach her "off." She howls when I am leaving though. Breaks my heart every time. She's about 2 years old. I love her.

I think you'll be OK. And I hope it goes well with your...shopping.

And "just like riding a bike" is also a bad analogy for me, as I don't think I've been on one in more than 30 years (well, maybe an exercise one once or twice) and am pretty certain I would just tip over if I got on one. (An actual bike, of course!)
Thanks for this!

That seems really messed up, NP. I'm sorry.

Is there any sort of way where, if that person did something that was stalker-like, like if they breached the other type of order, you could get the permanent order?

I found a free Coursera class that I just started today, called "Managing emotions in times of uncertainty and stress" to go along with the 2nd 8 weeks of the cbt program. I was gonna take another class at the local college I'd been taking classes at, but I've stayed away too long and have to re-apply. I'm going to do free Coursera stuff (no credits/certificates, just learning) to try to satisfy the desire for self-improvement. I'm not ready to try therapy again yet, so this will have to do! Might also apply to the local University and take some classes there, but they're a lot more expensive than at the community college.

Hahahaha! The clarification made me laugh pretty hard, LT. I guess on a not-actual bike I won't have to worry about tipping over. I hope.

I hate my life. I got really angry and triggered earlier today and sent my therapist an email about it. No response. I'm just sick of everything. I don't feel like I have anyone in my real life I could tell why I was so upset today. The people I might talk to wouldn't understand why without me talking about things I would be ashamed to talk about. I tried talking to someone last week about the stress getting the order was causing and I got such generic responses from her. I felt very isolated after that conversation. At least I have this place. I just wish I had some in-person people to talk to.

I'm watching Grey Gardens because I'd heard things about it and was curious. These two women are extremely annoying. I don't know if that's just me though. I would last about 10 minutes with these two before I would have to go spend a day in complete silence to recuperate.

slithering out from under a couch cushion to say a tentative hello.

i'm a lousy couchie 'cos social interaction is a complete mystery to me. i mean, i can mimic it to a degree, i just don't really understand it. i'm that person who takes a lot of time to process and only thinks of the right comment or response hours after the conversation has already moved on.

but i've lurked for years - and popped out to comment on the odd occasion - and it's such a helpful and supportive place that i've learned a lot from - even in a 'hiding under the cushions' kind of way - so i just wanted to say thanks.

and hello.

and i may never post again.
