hugs and head nods all around as needed/wanted/appropriate.

I'm up in Payson, AZ for a couple days. Didn't wake up as early as I wanted, but it's all good. Breakfast in the hotel opened 40 minutes ago I'll head down there soon. Right now am figuring out what to do today... there's several places to hike (and take pictures of course) that I want to check out, I am hoping that getting out in nature, in a new place and with different trees and stuff than back home (lots of tall pine trees here!) will be a boost to my mental state. Have a good day all, pics to come later!

I had to go to the ER last night. Severe stomach and back pain. They ran a bunch of test, but everything came out clear. They gave me two kinds of pain meds, and I was still in pain. They discharged me anyways.

I am still in so much pain and I've gotten very little sleep because of it. I wish I knew why I was in pain.

Hugs, Scarlet. They shouldn't have discharged you if you were hurting so much. Is there any way the IUD could be contributing to the pain? If you're still hurting, I would consider going back to the ER or at least trying to get an appointment with your doctor tomorrow.

I was able to look at the CT scan results. Everything is normal except my liver (which I already knew), and I do have a gallbladder stone. They even said the IUD is in place. That's why they let me go even though I was/am in pain.

But it's getting better. Still painful, but I'm not in bed crying. Maybe it's just indigestion. Maybe it's from all the stress? I'm going to take it easy on my body. Simple foods and drinks. And try to get more sleep.

Thank you all!

Its a bad weekend for the couch! Thanks for saying about the CT scan. I was wondering what they could do. Ive been in pain for at least a month, getting worse every day but stopping after a nap. Until this weekend, when it kept me awake all night and i was just this side of crying myself. I tried to distract myself by binge-watching Darcy and Stacey. I dont know which hurt more!

I made a dr appointment for tomorrow morning, including a LYFT reservation. I just ate a light dinner (rice noodle soup, a quest bar, and a cup of coffee) and it seems better. I ate some chestnuts for breakfast, hoping the resulting gas would blow thru any blockages, but my execretory functions seem okay.

Per dr google, antibiotics and pain meds should take care of it. It also said gallstones could block the pancreatic duct. My gallbladder is puzzlingly quiet, whereas my pancreatic and spenal areas are prickly.

This post is not as long as the "online paperwork" (hey! A new oxymoron!) I had to fill out. Including marking on a body outline where and how it hurts, which was fun.

Thanks! So far so good. A few twinges but a heating pad helped.

It was really weird. I was walking to the bathroom last night and i was like, geez i am not wobbling whereas just a few hours earlier walking was a questionable activity!

Good you're still feeling better. I wonder if it was some sort of stone (gall or kidney) that worked its way out of a place that was painful?

I found myself starting to head into a conflict with Dr. T today, but managed to pull us out of it. I actually said the words, "I feel like this is turning into a conflict, and I don't want that." And...it worked!

It was a case where he was suggesting I was putting words in his mouth, and I was trying to tell him that I wasn't saying he'd actually *said* certain things, but that it was how my brain interpreted them because I was already feeling bad about myself regarding that topic (stuff with my marriage).

I do think it's some sort of growth for me to realize in the moment that things are heading in a negative direction and taking steps to stop it, including accepting my own responsibility in it.

Yeah just a little while ago i heard some bizarre gurgling from my stomach area, but like i usually hear from my gall bladder. So i wonder if that was gallstones blocking pancreatic ducts.

Its making me more careful about what and when and how much i eat. I kinda eat like a growing teenager rather than a shriveling octogenarian.

Hi willowtigger,

An octogenarian is somebody over the age of 80.

Hope that helps,

Lost
