I had my session today with the therapist at mental health today. I am seeing her one more time and then she will close my file that is also closing my file at day program.

I also was told im not sick enough to stay in therapy at the clinic. She also told me im taking up space by her keeping my file open prevents her from seeing people who need help.

I tried to get reffered to someone else and was not allowed to do that today.

I am so glad I went with my trauma therapist who now has a private practice.

Wow. I'm so sorry this happened! It doesn't seem right, or fair. I know that day program was an important aspect of your life. It doesn't seem right that you can be seemingly brushed aside like that. I am so very sorry. I am very glad you have your trauma therapist. I hope she can be beneficial to you in all the ways you need. HUGS if wanted, Kit

Have you. Looked into other things to do to stay busy. None therapy groups, hobbies, meet-ups. Libraries often have book clubs. The key is to stay busy.

Hi Taylor,
I know this is hard for you! I see you are in Canada? To give you an idea,, look up Fountain House in New York which has become the gold standard for this type of care Do you have a clubhouse in your area. That would be a good next step for you. Mental health supports plus a day programing.

I looked up fo Fountain House it's not in my area yet. I am looking for other support groups and there seems to be some meet up's.

I have my trauma therapist and for now thats good for now. My husband still needs care and is waiting to have surgery in a few months.

I also am planning on getting a garden plot with a friend this spring to fall. I think that will keep busy.

To be honest my trauma therapist was the only person there that really helped me. I got close to people at day program until my husband got ill this past fall. Everything changed there, it looks like the mental health focus is short term. It's too bad
