I’ve been seeing my T for nearly 18 months. We have always got on and I’ve made a lot of progress since I started. In my last session, I basically told her that this type of therapy isn’t working for me right now and if there is anything else she can offer. She kinda got a bit defensive and I felt quite uncomfortable. She did have the right to call me out that the last few months I hadn’t been in the right mindset which is fine due to personal situations in my life. We did come up with some new goals which has been motivating.

Anyways, she encouraged me to email her to schedule my next appointment. I did email her but it’s nearly been 10 days and she hasn’t replied. I have sent a follow-up email just in case she missed it. I do struggle with sending emails and she knows this too. I just feel a bit betrayed and led on at the moment and I’m not sure what to do. It’s making me very anxious too. If anyone has any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's possible your email went to junk for some reason or inadvertently got deleted by accident. (Sometimes I'm clicking through my inbox so quickly that I delete something that I didn't intend to, but once it's off that inbox list, it's out of sight, out of mind. It happens sometimes.) So, wait and see if you get a response from this second email.
Thanks for this!

Call her or her office directly, if T is not responding.

Then again, you say you are not happy with the work you have been doing together. So, ask yourself if you want to continue with her.

You even told her this type of therapy wasn't working for you. Yes, she should not have been defensive but Ts tend to have one 'type' of therapy. So, if this style of therapy is not working for you, cut your losses and seek another modality with a new T.
Thanks for this!
