Our local friends (the ones that H has known him since jr high, and his wife since college) invited us over tomorrow to celebrate the 4th/mine and her bdays (hers was while I was in the hospital); they have an in-ground pool, so I'll get to swim yay! I'm feeling completely ready to go back to work on Wednesday, too. I'm heading out now to go pick up her gift. Looking forward to a fun afternoon/evening with them!

I do think I'm coping better. I don't think I reached out to him last time he was away (around April, I think?). The previous time (in January), it was only because I got triggered by the non-R T he set me up with (because R was away). And a couple times before that, it was just at the very end, to confirm he was alive/would be in for our next session.

Like, if R hadn't been available this time, I think I would have asked if it would have been OK to plan to email him once or twice, say, Monday and Thursday, even if it was just to say "Checking in that I'm doing OK." And offered to pay x amount for that. So I would have that and wouldn't feel I was failing if I did email him (I mentioned that possibility last time when he wasn't sure if R would be around, and he'd been open to it). But really, I probably would be fine with one or zero emails.

I’m going to buy my own house but we’ll probably move in together at some point. My place will be rental and probly partly protection from “you can’t leave, where will you go?” even though I know that’s not a thing here….

Hello couch and happy 7/4 for those who celebrate it! I'm officially 61 now and so very grateful to still be here. Looking forward to celebrating later today with friends.

It’s a different # each time. So annoying!
I ended up with 66 spam/mortgage calls yesterday.

Good idea- I did exactly that, put my phone on silent. I had to return a couple calls I missed but def. worth it.

Thanks una! I used to joke about that too haha. And, in 1976, I rode on a float in a bicentennial parade with other "yankee doodle dandies" with this birthday lol that was a lot of fun. I remember one guy was like 94 years old.
