I did manage to scribble out a haiku on the Renga group I'm in. So there's that, I suppose. But yes, getting out in the desert with my notebook is a great idea and perhaps after work today I will do so. I am almost always inspired by the cholla cactus glowing in the sunlight.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has permission to have a full appeal over his extradition.

The ICC also seeks arrest warrants.

I was just reading about tribal cannabis stores and how successful they are. I want to drive across the state just to support one.

Reaffirming your support might be the only thing you can do. He/she needs space and time so if it’s waffle season grab the maple syrup.

Great work Artie!

Maybe horse with no name could also inspire you.

“I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can't remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La la la la la la...”

I just got the grass cut before the next deluge comes in tomorrow. I keep forgetting that next weekend is a holiday. I find holidays so annoying

This weekend I plan to. Next weekend h and I are going out of town for a concert he got free tickets to at a casino. It's a Journey cover band. I've seen the real thing (sadly minus Steve Perry, so technically not really the real thing I guess), so a cover band might be a little of a letdown, but that's okay I'll still love the music!

Speaking of Mr Perry, I heard a rumor that he's making noises about touring again. If only. I told H if he does, I don't care WHERE I have to fly to or how much the tickets are I'M GOING!

I didn't find coming out all that big of a deal -it would have been much harder for me to not do so. I would think he was switched at birth but we look alike. (I am really not looking for any sort of fortune cookie advice - more just musing over how he missed my good example while I dry herb vape a mix of non cannabis herbs - green tea, mullien, and mint at the moment)

Can Perry still sing at all? I saw the clip of Joani Mitchell at the newport festival last year, and while inspiring I suppose, singing was not her continued strong point.

I was also going to recommend the English Singer Nick Drake. His songs are like poetry.

Northern sky in particular is art.

Of course she is.

You look pale, SD, maybe you need some leeching?
:
Have you all ever noticed how many disasters thriller writers can pile up? For instance, I’m reading the blurb for one, in which a plane crashes into the Pacific, during evacuation an engine explodes and the plane is flooded, so the passengers still inside have to close the doors, so the plane sinks two hundred feet to the sea floor with limited oxygen and rising water levels.

Oh, AND it’s teetering on the edge of an undersea cliff.

Was the first incident not bad enough?

I think the screenshot acts as an assurance that the link is genuine and not spammy or anything.

It threw me at first too.

Partway through session, Dr. T told me that the couch I sit on likely won't be there next session. It won't be going to the new office late next month, so he's giving it to someone. I asked if he could move one of the chairs to around where I sit, and he said yes.

Then I said how I'd mentioned wanting to take pics of the office before the move, and he said, "Do you want to do that now?" He said he'd step out (didn't want to be in the pics), and I thought he meant into the hall, but he was standing there. I took like 20 pics (including a couple bad panoramas, at his suggestion), and we were both sort of joking and laughing during it.

I said, while taking the 12th-ish photo, "I hope this doesn't make you think I'm really weird." Dr. T: "LT, I've known you more than 6 years, and *this* is the thing you think will make me think you're weird?" We both laughed about that. The whole process ended up being connecting, if also a bit sad.
