Thanks Una! I’m a big chicken too. It was definitely scary! He definitely felt better when he got his TEP and was able to voice again.

Yeah, he tends to work holidays (well, not Christmas or New Year's), as do I! As he and I have discussed before, the negative of being freelance/self-employed it not getting paid for holidays. Though because he arrived when I did, which was at noon, I have to wonder how many clients he's actually seeing today.

I can be bad about returning stuff, too. Or I think I like it, take the tags off, and change my mind when I go to wear it. I've heard good things about Torrid.

My partner had her therapy today as well. I am making yogurt and cleaning up after the weekend storms - it is beautiful here today and my park is packed. I hope the weather stays good this week - and dry. Tired of the tornado warnings

We had beautiful weather this whole weekend except for today. There is a lull in the rain now so we threw some quick stuff on the grill. I would love to learn how to make yogurt.

It makes sense if he wasn’t doing anything today to go and make some money.

It does make sense! Maybe he was doing something this morning, and that's why he got there 2 minutes before my session.

Though I think of one time when we had session with ex-MC on a similar holiday (may have been July 4 or Labor Day) and he said how part of him wanted to just be relaxing his backyard, but that he thought he'd be responsible and come to work. That did not feel good!

Now my boredom made me stoop low enough to turn on the TV and watch The Real Housewives Of New Jersey. These ladies are out of their damn minds. I hope all this drama is scripted. It’s so bad it’s almost funny but not.

Also try the older episodes of Kate & Jon plus 8, 19 kids and counting.

That's weird--I got a tornado warning alert (my blaring) on my iPhone, but my H didn't get one despite being in the same house, same carrier, same type of phone. And he was on a higher floor! I went in the basement for a bit. Thunderstorms now. At least it wasn't during a therapy session, like what happened a year or two ago when Dr. T's wife called and tried to get him to go to an inner room. Or when I was driving like the most recent one.

Do you only get tornadoes suddenly or can they track progress from a few hours before?

I do not miss the big family house overall, but today I was thinking about how much fun it was to play backyard badminton.

I'm currently participating in a year-long challenge to write a poem every day, so I used Memorial Day for the subject of today's poem. Other than that, didn't really do anything else.
Thanks for this!

My birthday is a summer holiday, so every year growing up we had a family barbecue where aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc would all come over to celebrate the holiday/my birthday. I do kinda miss the fun of family gatherings like that. One of the things we did every year was play badminton.

Oh now the one housewife got sentenced to jail for fraud. (These are old episodes). Aren’t people aware you aren’t supposed to use the federal government as a bank?!

I remember the one with 19 kids from long ago. I never watched but I think there was a lot of controversy.

Thanks, Jersey! Storms seem to have ended.

And I remember some controversy with the kids show, too, but also never watched it.

Yes and no!

We have tornado watch, which means conditions are favorable for one, and a watch can last for hours.

A tornado warning means one has been spotted, take cover.

Now they have a 3rd level, tornado emergency, which is, its happening now near you. As the instructions on airplanes advise you to assume the crash position: bend over, put your head between your knees, and kiss your butt goodbye!
