So I was bothered by some of what Dr. T said today in relation to a conflict with my H. But I just had a really productive (I think?) conversation with my H tied to the topic I was discussing, using some of the stuff Dr. T said. So, I don't know, I guess it was helpful after all? It felt like Dr. T was taking his side in a sense, but perhaps I needed help to see that side.

Not sure I want to admit that to him (Dr. T) though!

Thats it! That was the name.

There was also a shampoo at the time called "Gee your hair smells terrific" which i thought was just dumb.

I also had a lemon shampoo where the cap was a big ol lemon.

All this shampoo talk makes me want to go wash my hair.

I am planning on getting it dyed a light purple color soon. I saw this woman on one of our flights last month going to Oregon, that had this light purple hair and it was just so pretty. I want it.

I also want more wine but I finished the bottle I already had open in the fridge, and I think it would be not a good idea to open another one.

Or maybe it’s not about sides and who’s taking whose? Maybe it’s about communication and imagining yourself in another’s shoes?

@Lost

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling drained and overwhelmed. It's understandable given the circumstances, especially with the anniversary of such a significant event. It's good to hear that you'll be seeing R tomorrow; hopefully, that will provide some relief.

Thanks LT and Cake,

I never ask for extra sessions, so I was grateful that she offered due to the magnitude of the day.

This realisation changes the landscape of my grief significantly...and I don't quite know what to do with that.

Hopefully R can help me pick through it, or begin to...in about an hour.

Pocket riders very much appreciated.

Sounds like he was just offering a different perspective and it was useful. I’m glad the conversation with your H was productive and I hope you two are soon able to move past the conflict.

That lemon up really cleaned the carp out of your hair.

Thats a great memory about your dad. My dad always used to buy Breck shampoo because of the beautiful women on the bottle.

One time we discovered this patch of woods that had trails through it, and at that point we started heading there a lot of the time. Somebody had built a makeshift tree house in there, and we'd climb up in that, until the day we heard teenagers up there, smoking and stuff so we never went back. I was a nerdy kid. haha. I used to love riding my bike back when I was a skinny little thing and the seat didn't hurt so much haha! that was back in the early to mid 1970's.
It sounds like a nice experience . I used to live the summer holidays and we played in the garden and built dens.

Thanks, Jersey. Yeah, he often does choose o offer a different perspective. And sometimes that can feel to me like I'm not being supported or that he thinks I was the one in the wrong (not that it's usually that black and white in reality). But I know he's just trying to help me and that if he just was like, "Yes, LT, you're exactly right and did everything perfectly" for every conflict and challenge I have, that wouldn't really get me anywhere. I do crave that at times though.

Yes i think even if t DOES agree with you, its kinda his job to urge you to deal with what is actually in front of you - something that disagrees with you. You are seeing him, not your h. So he needs to help you deal with your h, who we can assume is the fixed (ie unmoving) point. As a representative of the rest of the frustrating world. His job is not to keep the world from frustrating you - it always will. If only he could! Even stopdog would love that t!

New rumour about me, I heard from the family grapevine. Apparently I secretly got married that’s why I don’t come to visit.

I was this on a phone call today with my mother today. I ordered bowls for her. They sent the wrong ones. The company arranged for a courier to come collect them from the house and my father was shouting at me in the background which made me cry. It triggered huge self harm feelings which I haven’t felt for donkey years. All he would have to do would be to seal bowls in the box them came and hand them over.

The reason I don’t go home to visit when I’ve had multiple chances to do so, is because I’ve never felt it to be a home. I don’t want myself esteem to be chipped down even further than it already is.

I couldn’t really contribute to the shampoo discussion, so here’s a gym fashion note for you:

1. Those Under Armour Freedom tees are really popular.
2. Pastel workout wear is a growing trend among men.
3. Women’s shorty shorts have been adopted by men, but instead of emphasizing the rear booty as in women, they emphasize the front…I really don’t know where to look sometimes.

I don't use shampoo at all - haven't done so for the last 25 yrs or so - my hair is much happier without it -but I did not have great hair to begin with.

1. don't know what those are but I do like my under armour wind shirts
2. I just thought my gaydar was off for men
3. ugh - my imagination eyes are creeped out

I do not like capri leggings on men. Usually mens legs are waaaay too skinny, and idk it just gives bathrobe vibes, doesnt it? Nobody wants to see that in public.
