The Good Place? Netflix. Sitcom but about death. I think Abbott Elementary is on Hulu. Sitcom set in Philly. Not about death or dead people. __________________ The secret to eternal youth is arrested development.—Alice Roosevelt Longworth |

The Good Place is funny.
I've been wanting to watch Secrets of the Octopus on Hulu. __________________ Since you cannot do good to all, you are to pay special attention to those who, by accidents of time, or place, or circumstance, are brought into closer connection with you. (St. Augustine) |

I can recommend Only Murders in the Building or The Good Place and Ghosts isn't bad. Don't forget the third season of Bridgerton

Hi LT,
Thanks for your message. June is hard these days, and Thursday feels a way away, although I have my check in call on Tuesday. Trying to come to terms with the idea that when I open up to someone, it's then up to them what they do with that information. Telling my truth is vulnerable, but is that a bad thing? Not sure. __________________ 'Somewhere up above the great divide Where the sky is wide, and the clouds are few A man can see his way clear to the light 'You have all the grace you need for today, and today is all that matters.' - Steve Austin |

Hugs to you, Lost. It's brave to be vulnerable. And you're taking the chance that you can get support and understanding. (Of course, there is also the chance that you don't get that.) I hope the check-in call helps, and the session. |

In my art class on Wednesday, we will apparently be making bunting.
(I don't know what it's called in the US, but all I can envisage is the triangle flags on string...)
Possible trigger:

Lost, I saw something somewhere regarding our loved ones' death anniversary dates and it was like "Try not to reduce someone's life to their death". So the premise was to remember someone's LIFE on the anniversary days, thereby hopefully bringing up some positive memories. I'm sure you have some positive memories of your friend. Try to celebrate and focus on those if you can.
I know it can be hard, especially with suicide- but I have lots of experience with this and I've found it's very helpful to remember those I've lost to suicide by focusing on their gifts to the world and positive memories we may have shared. We will all die but our actual death is the least interesting thing about us. It's our life that mattered, no matter how short or how long it was, or how it ended. |

Only Murders in the Building is hilarious. Martin Short and Steve Martin together, how could it not be funny? I am waiting impatiently for season 4.
Another good Hulu offering is Reservation Dogs, but I wouldn't call it light even though it's listed as a comedy. It centers around a group of indigenous teens coming of age on the reservation and coping with the loss of one of the friend group who died by suicide. It is often funny, touching, tongue-in-cheek, and quite lovely but could be triggering at times as it deals with death by suicide, teen exposure to drugs and alcohol, systemic injustices toward indigenous peoples in the US, hunting, owls. But the barbarians and I have found it touching and insightful really well done. As well as quite funny much of the time. Which reminds me, I just finished There There by Tommy Orange about Native American culture in Oakland, CA. My mom recommended it when we were talking about Reservation Dogs. Well written. __________________ Since you cannot do good to all, you are to pay special attention to those who, by accidents of time, or place, or circumstance, are brought into closer connection with you. So far I am enjoying The Good Place despite not being a Kristen Bell fan. I’m not sure why I don’t like her. I don’t think she’s a bad actress-just something about her.
