have you tried cannabis? I think you are in a legal state. I would get flower to smoke not edibles -edibles can be hard to dose and take awhile(1 to 3 hours or so) to kick in.
But probably better would be to exercise -ride a bike or go on a hike
or lift some weights and concentrate only on that activitity

I haven’t tried Canabis. I am in a legal state for sure. There are 4 dispensaries within a couple miles of my house. I wonder if I can afford it. I didn’t even think of it until now.

I like todd grande - he makes a lot of sense. But he gives me the impression of he's working without his ventriloquist's dummy.

Boy i am full of zingers today. I ate two salads for dinner last night. One with blue cheese dressing, followed by one with creamy french, both regular, not diet in any way. On two little gem heads each. And my blood sugar this morning was EXCELLENT.

If I didn't find therapy completely useless and therapists grifters and would never ever hire a male - the todd grande guys demeanor would be what I looked for.

If you are not familiar with using and you get edibles - seriously do not take a lot - often new people take too much because they don't feel anything right away and it looks harmless and so they take more of it and they green out and feel really really sick. It won't hurt you but it feels bad (a friend of mine ate two cookies of mine not knowing it was pot and I didn't know she was going to go rummaging around in my kitchen to find them so they were not labeled - she physically felt bad and it freaked her out a lot- so much so that she went to the emergency room where they laughed at her)

I definitely wouldn’t have a lot. I’m trying to calm down-not completely lose my s h i t. I’m going to do some research online. I have to be careful about what I get considering I take care of babies all day.

Jersey, You can try Ashwagandha. I hear that works well. Or maybe an herbal tea. Warm milk works for some. Changing your body's temperature. Exercise.

Thanks Scarlet, I just ordered a bottle of Ashwagandha and a bottle of 5HTP. We will see how it goes. I hope it works. I didn’t really want to buy the edibles. I want to be able to think clearly. You know? Think logically about the going ons. I almost went for the rum in my freezer but that will defeat the purpose of wanting to keep a clear head.

I tried ashwaganda and 5htp and it did nothing for me - I do hope it helps you. I actually am cleaning out the house and just threw away my bottles of it a few days ago. I mentioned cannabis flower because I thought you meant you wanted something right this minute today and wanted it to work as soon as you take it. Often the herb/ashw/ stuff takes time to build up in your system. Also I was hoping it would help with insomnia rather than stress so that might also be why I didn't see any results

SD..Yes..I need something to work immediately today. I just didn’t know how expensive it would be and also didn’t know if I would be able to keep a clear head while I take it. I know it would chill me out quicker than a herbal supplement, but I just don’t want to be high. Would the gummies make me high if I chew just one? 35 bucks for 10 seems expensive. That’s a lot of money for me so it has to be worth it.

The thing is - that until you try you won't know -but edibles can be iffy -some people don't feel anything at all from them because of gastrointestional issue or other challenges with how an edible is processed in the body. Some days I micro-dose with a dry herb vape using a mix of cbd and cannabis for arthritis and inflammation and don't get high at all. Other days, when I can move without wanting all my joints replaced immediately, I do get high at night in order to sleep but I don't dose all day then. But it is experimentation for sure. The other thing about the gummies is that it also depends on the strength and other things. I started with gummies that friends brought me and segued in to dry herb vaping because I hate the way combustion tastes.

Thanks SD. I think on the way home from work tomorrow, I’ll walk into one of the dispensaries I pass and just ask some questions about the products and go from there.

Thanks so much Lost. I just looked online and our version of these is called Calms. The vitamin store has them. If the other stuff I ordered has no effect, I’ll try these.

You're more than welcome.

I feel that many sleep remedies will relax my body but do nothing for the mind.

Kalms take effect within minutes and tame the mind enough so I can rest.

I’m glad it works so well for you. Honestly years ago I was so medicated with pharmaceuticals. I was on really high doses of everything I was on and although calm and not depressed, I was a robot. I felt nothing. Like when I was on that stuff-I even stopped feeling love for people in my life that I loved. I remember getting fired from a job when I was on the medications and just shrugging my shoulders as if it was no big deal when I didn’t have any actual money to pay my bills. I needed to stop taking that stuff.

I think staying away from big pharma is always good if you can manage it. Honesty if magnesium or any of the other things had worked - I would have kept using them instead of cannabis. I know that the non-prescribed stuff is not harmless =Melatonin, for example, makes me sick as a dog and it took awhile (almost a year) to figure out that it was the melatonin doing it.

I agree. And the prescription stuff was still so expensive even with insurance and the generic brands didn’t knock much off the price. Not to mention paying the psychiatrist every 3 months so she would refill them.

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening everyone. We are back to Monday. Almost 7:30am here as of this post and getting ready to go to work. Hope you all have a good day. The heat broke here. It’s only about 70 right now and getting up to 83 today with no humidity. Back to higher temps and more humidity tomorrow.

ETF tapping for the anxiety? Brad Yates has a channel with videos on Youtube.

Splash cold water on your face.

Weighted blankets for when it’s cooler?

Can you spend more time outdoors too?

Also be more Mindful of what you’re watching/ listening to, I can feel it more after watching the news.

Also track your menstrual cycle if you don’t already, some women do feel it worse 10 days before.

We should pay so much more attention to our menstrual cycles and menopause experiences than we currently do. It is such a source of rich information about ourselves and our cyclical way of being, but it's rarely acknowledged, let alone prioritised, outside of particular female centred circles.

Sigh...Dr. T had to push back our session today (just to later this afternoon) due to a last-minute "unavoidable" meeting at his new office building. I had a feeling this would happen, but was afraid he'd have to cancel entirely. Hoping he'll have an update on the move today. I just want it over with at this point. We'll be meeting in the old office I've already said good-bye to, but I'd rather meet in person than virtually (especially as D will be home--she wouldn't have been had we met at the original time, which was then pushed later, and now later again...).

He was originally supposed to be in the new office today (though I was going to meet virtually to sort of get used to it from a distance and avoid likely new paint fumes). He briefly thought he could be moving this week instead, but as of when we last met, Thursday, he thought it would be at least the following week. He's also off one Friday in there, and he'll have to take off two days for the move (it's in 2 parts) whenever that happens. I just hate the lack of knowing what's happening. The frame is supposed to be important in therapy, and there's a lack of one right now on multiple levels.
