Hi LT,

Have you ever had to check whether Dr T understood something you brought up following a break?
I'm not sure R and I are on the same page about my realisation, and it's bugging me.

Thanks.

Not necessarily related to a break, but I've had to check in on whether he understood something before. Like if he seemed kind of dismissive of it (when I thought it was a big insight) or just didn't seem to get what I was saying.

I'm sorry it seems like you and R aren't on the same page. I know how painful that can be. I'd definitely talk to her about it. I've found that tends to help. I'd normally say to consider emailing about it before your next session (even for her to just read it and not reply), but I know she's had technology issues lately, so that might not be a good idea. Maybe write or type up what you're thinking about it and hand it to her at the start of your next session? I've done that a couple times.

And hugs, if wanted.

And a superwoman. Altho my version of it is from at least 10 years ago. These new versions of it, you can barely see the stalk. Thats the best part! But not for this young generation.

(trigger for medical stuff)
Possible trigger:
Depending on the results, it may be the last one! I will be totally celebrating if that is the case because they are no.fun.at.all. I should hear back with the results next week some time.

Then took myself out to breakfast at IHOP afterwards as a reward, had their maple pumpkin cheesecake pancakes, which were divine.

Yuck.

Tomorrow is the day of the Service of Reflection at my local cathedral.
I decided not to go, and I'm going to stick to that...it would be Way Too Much at the moment.

Because it's not being streamed, they haven't put the order of service online.

It would be weird after this long without making contact for me to email and ask for a copy, right?

I was given a membership to rancho gordo bean of the month club. Tonight I made some giant ( little bigger than a quarter) white beans. They are very good -but the kind of odd thing is they are a little sweet tasting and I never had beans that on their own tasted sweet.

Rancho Gordo beans are delicious. I like their red beans. I tried the ayocote morado beans, which were pretty good.

What is the name of the white bean? Gardening up here on the hill is a much shorter growing season and I got my beans in late, so I don't think I'll get any shelling beans from the garden this year. I need to make a bean order soon. Nothing like a good hearty pot of beans on a cold day.

They were royal corona. I also like their xmas lima and several of the red beans I have tried. So far I have not found the black beans of theirs I have tried to be all that different from other black beans - but the others have been.

This might give you a better idea about RC than my description: my links are coming up weird but it is www.thekitchn. com ]and rancho gordo royal corona beans

Couch Workout Club day 45

Today was two sets of my seated boxing workout.

It's maddening to know that I need people, but not know how to reach out.
I have a slot with the grief guide tomorrow, and I feel like we're going to end up talking about this.

She asked me on Thursday about in-person support, and it feels stupid to say 'I had this opportunity, but I didn't feel able to go.'

All this has been building since July, and I don't know how to get it out.

Famalam: Idris Elba | ICYDK, Idris Elba can do anything BBC Three | By BBC One

As some of us here are fans of Idris Elba, this is pretty darn funny.

I have started trying out various hobbies in anticipation of retirement somewhere in the next 3-5 years. This month is bird watching although I am not great with using binoculars. They are trickier than they look. And a lot of birds look alike but I am getting the local hawk differences down easier than the little birds.
I am getting pretty good at some snakes as well. There is a "snake road" in the neighboring state where a lot of snakes can be found. The road is closed to protect the animals that make seasonal migrations to and from their hibernacula.

There's an app to help identify birds, called Merlin. You can identify birds by sound or by photo, I've played around with it a little.

Oh and thank you for the poetic inspiration - I like the word "hibernacula" and it is now the title of my poem for today.

I have Merlin but I am not good with apps like that. Often I don't even take my phone but I do have a book my dad's wife sent me - she feeds hummingbirds and some other things. I also have hummingbirds because I have a giant red crepe myrtle and some canna lilies that they are attracted to.

There are ______ of the month clubs for everything, apparently.

I think I could handle two of maple pumpkin cheesecake pancakes, but not all three. I baked pumpkin muffins with cream cheese chips last night.

There are. I did mis-speak -it isn't monthly but quarterly. And harmless enough fun. I like beans a lot and so when the box arrives -it is like xmas because you don't know what is in there. I also just taught myself the cup song cup thing from pitch perfect because the song is stuck in my head. Retirement is going to be super fun.
