Hi everyone, I am doing very well with my new therapist. We have a phone session every week and chat text through out the week. Allot better for me to make some progress in my life.
With my monthly subscription with therapy I'm allowed to attend a group therapy of my choice. I am trying one out on social anxiety today. I am nervous and excited. My other therapist has not gotten intouch with me since last year and I think I'm okay if she never gets intouch with me. I have done allot of grieving on my own and I'm about to talk to my therapist. It deeply hurts how attached I got to her. Thats a small update on me. |

This is so good to hear.
I'm proud of all the work you've done. Sounds like you are being proactive and bold. Good luck! Lost

That’s so good to hear, Taylor! I hope the group works out for you as well as continuing with current therapist. I’ve been in some very helpful groups.

The group was very good. I am signed up for next week. I seem to have allot in common with other people. There are other groups that I'm interested in joining. I can only join one a week without the extra cost. I may add two groups in the future once I'm getting more income.
My husband is still the same no change. His dementia is getting worse. I notice on the days I have something to keep me busy I'm not so very anxious about my husband. I have joined a care givers group for people caring for loved one with dementia and Alzheimer's. It's been so helpful. Next month will be 2 years since my file at mental health got closed. I still have night mares. One thing I learned is that the community mental health could only help me with depression, crisis, past addiction issues. They could not help me with trauma. I am glad to be in private therapy yes it does cost but for me it's been worth it. |

Public mental health services are rarely specialised or trauma informed, in my experience.
So glad you can access the support that you need.

I also do think face to face therapy works as well, however I have no insurance and the cost is very costly for me. |
