I'm glad you have some respite, CNS.

It's a shame that he's so wrapped up in ego.

Wouldn't the spaghetti and sauce eventually even out to room temperature?

P has started slowly dismantling his office. First it was a mirror. Next it was a large plant. It's going to continue. I can't do this. I'm going to be alone once he's gone and I don't want to be.

I have gone out and found a lawyer who specializes in disability rights. Showed her the decisions of my university’s “legal” process on accommodations, with which she disagreed (in lawyer talk it’s an “incorrect assessment”). She is sending them a demand letter on accommodations after the holiday to try to get them to fall into line peaceably.

Well, I may have completely gone 'round the bend this evening, but I just broke a couch rule: I emailed L a check-in while having a glass of wine. Oops. Oh well. It's been more than 6 months since I last talked to her on the phone, and going on 10 months since we last met. I suppose a check-in email isn't a bad thing just before the holidays and stuff. Sigh, that I still think about her at all.

Good luck. I hope they go peaceably but usually it takes a little pounding on them -the good news is that universities usually don't want to actually go to court when they are wrong - they just don't want to give in too easily in case everyone they have wronged get ideas

I have been keeping busy unpacking and organizing and turning my cute little house back into a habitable dwelling instead of a college student...well, it wasn't a pit exactly, they have (surprisingly) learned some of the things I tried to instill in their barbarian skulls, except they still leave their stupid giant shoes everywhere. My sons have decided to write a sitcom about two young adult brothers whose mom moves back in with them suddenly. It promises to be pretty hilarious.

Today I hit a wall. I am so tired. And sad. I miss the forest. My birthday is tomorrow and I had taken the whole day off to spend with bicycle guy. I think tomorrow for my birthday I will jot down ten reasons I broke up with him and then go hang with my bestie. Then make pumpkin pie. I have about 20 people coming for Thanksgiving Thursday!

They would, however, the idea is that they don't interact with the room (for the exercise). Since air takes a long time to change in temperature due to rooms normally being big, that's a good approximation.

Hugs, Artie. Try not to beat yourself up too much about it. I reached out to ex-MC multiple times in the year after terminating with him, and I think one of those times was during a holiday. I hope she gives some sort of response, assuming that's what you want.

Thank you, LT. I just re-read what I sent her, and it's not too cringe, thankfully! eta and I think I do want a response, but I can wait. I think this is the first email I've ever sent her where I am not obsessively checking for a response.

TW for death anniversary

Possible trigger:

Unimaginable somehow...but I guess that's how time works/what time does.

Thanks, LT.

Tomorrow holds multiple difficult conversations in the context of a single session with R.
Something she said that landed wrong, and a bigger piece about current events that has compounded my spiritual struggle in the aftermath of Steve's death.

A skilled therapist should be able to take 'That didn't feel good...'?

Feel like I should mention the significance of today, but that would turn it into an epic.

Thanks,

Lost

Today the magazines in his waiting room were gone. As were the artwork in his office, one of his two chairs and the books on his bookshelf. I know more is disappearing before our next session because he told me he's taking a 20' truck of stuff to his new home this weekend.
