OMG Kim,

How unsettling this must have been. I am sorry you experienced this! I would so not like to see T or any member of his family on Facebook!

LOL. That really made me laugh. I always wished for the single bro to exist. But he'd have to be just as kind and funny and smart too. And be willing to listen to me talk *endlessly*!

yeah, it is weird... i told him that i googled him (because i have been feeling a bit badly about that). so... after i sent the email i googled him again just to see what i figure he will find if he thinks to see what i probably found. and... i found some slightly different hits from what i did before (e.g., facebook). i'm not a member of facebook, but they do have basic info available for people who aren't signed up. and so i started looking at the profiles of people with his (unusual) last name and found someone who is rather unmistakably his brother!

i also found the year he graduated. i think... he is quite a bit older than i was thinking he was... i guessed anywhere from 35 to 45 but figured he was probably around the middle of that... now i'm thinking he must be between 45 and 50 or maybe a bit older, even... i guess that means that his wife is significantly younger (since she had a baby last year). no wonder he wasn't willing to comment on whether a 15 year age difference was too much in a romantic relationship lol.

i do feel that i was being a bit invasive... started out with good intentions of just checking that he hadn't been struck off the register or something... ended up being a bit nosey, really. oopsie.

I think it should be part of all phd/psyd/msw, etc programs - how to google yourself, and what to do about the results.

Do you live with it?
Do you contact web masters and request changes?
Do you deny to the death?
Do you make up and post fake funny stuff to freak out your patients?? He *does* have a brother

It would be a good three hour class!
