After the 3rd time he double booked me (this most recent time was the 4th), I called him onto the carpet and told him this was unacceptable. He agreed. I then asked him what he was going to do to remedy this. And he gave me several things he was going to do to make sure these scheduling snafus didn't happen anymore. One of them was that he was going to hire a part-time secretary! He never did, lol, but he did do some of the other things. Since that conversation, which was months and months ago, we have had no double bookings, so he did improve. But now he's had another screw up. Oh, well. ![]()

My T was going through a hard time in her own life and kept losing my checks :-) Maybe your T is having a hard time in his own life or is working too hard, etc.
I like the idea of feeling he subconsciously wanted you there last week and that he was "shocked" to find someone else in your spot this week and called you when he saw that ![]()

When I had that accountability discussion with him quite some time ago (after the third double booking), that turned out to be the case. He was overworked and overbooked. Part of his action plan was to not work as many hours a week and to decrease his client load. He did both of those, and since then, has done a lot better with practice management tasks. Of course, it's harder to get an appointment with him now....

Quote: I like the idea of feeling he subconsciously wanted you there last week and that he was "shocked" to find someone else in your spot this week

I know, I love that interpretation too. ![]()
