I think it is going to work out. However, I now feel bad for this lady because we were just discussing simple things for the first visit, and I probably confused the hell out of her, and randomly babbled about stupid crap. Oh, and my history was just a lovely mess because thanks to my mom not explaining too much to me when I was younger, I have no idea why I was seeing a therapist when I was a kid. I just went, hated it, and went home. I'm sure things will be different now though since I am a lot older, and I actually want to be there now.

Excellent! Congrats on going to your first session, and for being so positive about it!

IMHO, why you went to therapy as a kid is not so important. The fact that you want to be there now is what really matters.

Let us know how it goes.

I'm glad you went and you felt good about it!

Don't worry about random babbling/confusing her. Things will sort themselves out as you continue to go.
